May 7th, 2006 at Sacramento Raceway Park. Gates will open early in the AM and racing will start around 9:00am or 10:00am. The event will be over at 5:00pm or 6:00pm. Exact times to be determined.

This event is for vehicles originally equipped with EFI motors (blocks must be factory produced/equipped). Plain and simple, late model iron only. (Outlaw is of course exempt from this rule, Dart/Motown/BowTie blocks will fit into this class as well.)

Ok, time is ticking and this event is coming up fast.

This event should run much smoother then our last event as we have the ENTIRE track to ourselves this year.

Here are the classes and rules. So far we do no have any sponsors, Ihave not contacted any people or shops thus far. (All money given by sponsors goes directly to the racers!) If you know of someone or a shop that would be interested in sponsoring a class, please have them contact me at:

I talked to a few guys that were reccomended by this board and we never came to any final conclusions. This is the closest I can come to making a "fair" event, so now is the time to speak up.

We will not be moving any cars from one class to another just because they are faster. If someone dominates a class (legally), then good for them.

1) Stock Bracket (12.50 and slower) No electronics, throttle stops, delays, etc. (STREET TIRES ONLY, NO DOT slicks or DR's )

2) Modified Bracket (12.49 and faster) No electronics, throttle stops, delays, etc. (Any tires allowed.)

3) Truck Bracket (Might get lumped in with the above brackets) No electronics, throttle stops, delays, etc. (STREET TIRES ONLY, NO DOT slicks or DR's

3a) (Might get lumped in with Truck Bracket... If lumped in with above tire allowence will be determined.) Truck heads up, anything goes. No electronics, throttle stops, delays, etc. (Any tire allowed)

4) Showroom Stock GM all bolt on's allowed no heads/cam, Fords all bolt on's allowed, plus heads/cam/intake), '03/'04 Cobra's bolt on exhaust and intake only, no pulley swap. (Street tires/DR's no DOT slicks.)

5) Modified Stock GM stock displacement required, Ford stock displacement or equal sized to GM stock, ~350ci, '03/'04 Cobra all bolt ons allowed, no Kenny Bell. (All vehicles all bolt on's allowed, heads/cam/intake/etc) (Any tire allowed.)

6) Stroker Motor plus heads/cam/intake and all bolt ons (Any tire allowed.)

7) Stock Motor + Power Adder (same rules as class # 5, Modified Stock, plus one power adder) (Any tire allowed.) '03/'04 Cobra with Whipple/KB/Procharger and all bolt ons fit here.

8) Stroker + Power adder (same rules as class # 6, Stroker Motor, plus one power adder) '03/'04 Cobra with Whipple/KB/Procharger and all bolts AND nitrous fit here.

9) Outlaw, Anything EFI goes...

Need clarification...Outlaw says 'anything EFI' but in the bolded statement it states Outlaw is exempt from this. Please confirm. I would like to run Outlaw with my coupe if possible. If not, is there going to be a TNT lane that I could squeeze into?

How stripped are we talking? The rules are going to reflect a stock "appearing" interior, or maybe just require a covered interior with no bare metal showing. And if people do have bare metal showing or non stock appearing interior, then I guess they will get bumped a class. Can anyone come up with another fair way to handle this?

Just looking at the rules it would seem fair to lump those of you '03/'04 Cobra's with Kenny Bell (and therefore whippled) into the Stock Motor + Power Adder (if the motor is stock.) Does that sound fair, or would those cars dominate that class? Would Stroker Motor + Power Adder be more fair for those cars?

We are still working out the details, but it should be $55 for car and driver and $10 for spectators. We'll have the track open about 8:00-9:00am for setup and start racing at 10:00am, and stop racing at 5:00pm. If we get done with the racing/brackets/heads up/etc then we'll open the track to grudge style racing until the track shuts us down!!!

Just bring your car (be prepared for a tech inspection, no leaking oil or coolant), your helmet (if you are 13.99 or faster) long pants, closed toe shoes (no sandals), money for entrance and whatever else you need.

No need to sign up early. Although in the future we hope to have an online early sign up page where you can prepay as well.

Costs were covered in my above Quote, but it doesn't hurt to restate them.

$55 for car and driver
$10 for spectators

(in other words, $45 per car and $10 per person.)

And $20 per additional class you want to enter.

Greg

The "exempt" bit was about the " vehicles originally equipped with EFI motors. Plain and simple, late model iron only." So, this would exlude a '65 mustang with a 5.0 in it. But that '65 Mustang with a 5.0 in it would be allowed in OUTLAW, as well as a Dart block with Accel Gen VII in it, or any other EFI variation...

Clear as mud now? [Wink]

Twin turbo's would be in a power adder class (depending on stock ci or stroker motor) and other mods which might put it into OUTLAW.

You're not thinking about coming yourself are you? Why would you want to attend an event put on by a club/website that sucks? [Roll Eyes]

I'm definitely going to be there. Just hope its better then last year when i ran a Mercedes 2 rounds in a row and beat him both times [Confused] It would be cool if the track stays open for a grudge style afterwards. Also i would be in the stock motor with a power adder, but i noticed you said that Fords can equal GM's C.I of 350. So a 5.0 can have a 347 and be in the stock motor with power adder [Confused] The Cobra class is going to be the most confusing one. Its still the stock motor when guys are putting on Kenne Bells and Whipples, but we know how much power they make with those blowers. BUT if they are running IRS, i don't care how much power they have, they won't 60FT for shit and won't dominate any class.

Last year did have some trying moments, mostly because of being lumped in with another race event. However this year we have the track entirely to ourselves for the entire day on Sunday.

We will do the eliminations one of two ways (and we'll decide by the feedback we get.) Either run every round Chevy vs. Ford and hope for the fastest Chevy and fastest Ford in the finals, or run all Chevy vs. Chevy and Ford vs. Ford until the finals and take the fastest Chevy and fastest Ford of each class and have them in the finals.

Yes, a Ford can have a 347ci motor in the Stock Motor + Power Adder class (in the past the Ford guys have claimed the CI difference was unfair, so this is to try and remedy that situation...)

So, what is your idea on the Kenne Bell/Whipple '03/'04 Cobra's? And there has to be at least ONE Cobra around that has an even more beefed up motor or reduced compression or something that would result in a "built motor" class, right?

So, even with their traction problems with the IRS they should get raised a class for "changing" their power adder. Same with the '03/'04 Cobra's swapping to a Procharger setup, right?

Hey Whyt Lie this is exactly what i'm talking about. He's running a built 342 w/turbo that runs 8's. But according to the rules he fits in that class. We need to iron out the differences in the cars. Stock motor should have stock block, not a 347 Dart block that can handle 2500 HP and run as much boost as they want. My stock 302 block will split with 450-500HP, I'm already at that level so no more power for me.

Well I believe the rules state: "This event is for vehicles originally equipped with EFI motors. Plain and simple, late model iron only. (Outlaw is of course exempt from this rule.)"

I guess we need to clarify this and state that ONLY factory produced/originally equipped blocks are allowed in these classes. Therefore any Dart/Motown/Bowtie blocks would be lumped into OUTLAW. Fair? I'll go change the rules post to reflect this.

In a perfect world, I'd like there to be an even amount of Fords and GM's winning the classes. Glad to see someone else shares my point of view.

What more then a whipple? If that is just bolt ons then that should still be "fair" right? It isn't like there are that many drag specific setup '03/'04 Cobra's around that can put the power down and launch, are there? Now if you had nitrous on top of that Whipple/KB then I'd say Stroker Motor + Nitrous would be "fair", right?

Glad to see you are still interested in making the event even with the confusing class rules. Nearly anyone will fit in the bracket classes. Not to mention the "grudge" style heads up racing we can continue after the "racing" is over and done with.

Sounds like that would fit into Stock Motor + Power Adder... And in that class, any tires are allowed.

I was originally trying to help with the rules but had alot going on at work at the time so I wasnt able to help much

I was just reading thru the rules and the only classs I dont agree with is the STOCK motor/power adder class

It should be a TRUE STOCK motor with bolt ons and power adders.Even though Im racing a Ford that came with a 302 and the Gm's get more cubic inches, allowing a 331/347 etc... is NOT the same thing.Someone could have a 15:1 compressioned 347 with a solid cam, blah blah blah with a unit on it and still get to run stock/power adder.IMO NOT FAIR.Lat event the Nova that won that race was nothing close to a "stock motor" i think the block was the only GM part still under that hood.A car like that should be in a stroker/power adder class or start another class with rules to fit those cars.

IMO stock power adder should be a stock shortblock, with H/C/I and a power adder being the only allowances in a STOCK MOTOR class

Oh well ill be there with the black 86gt but not sure what class [Confused]
