I like the song. i dont like the , " la la la la good bye" partthough.
Wayne is my favorite rapper, but i agree some of the shit he puts out can be garbage , but he just trying something new so he can be everywhere in the music game and stack MORE paper. Thats what i like about him, he has different styles and doesnt give a Fuk. From always strapped to lolli pop to prom queen type crap. he does it all .On Birdman's "Make way" he goes jamican on his first verse

Believe me I am up on lil Wayne and his underground stuff. I'll listen to the tracks posted. I wish Jada Kiss could get a good camp around him. I love that fools flow. But I am gettin older and out of the demographic these cats are catering to. So my word probably doesn't matter much. Thus is why I never heard of Drake..lol. And why I have a 40GB Zune filled with nothing but Pac, Twista, Jada Kiss, DMX and Jay Z. Oh and my south shit, but you guys dont know nothing bout that...lol.

It is funny that many of you who dont care for Wayne are the same who still listen to Pac, Mac Dre, CBO, any other rapper that made a name for themselves in the early 90's. I grew listening to them and I believe from time to time they are good listening, but non at all relevent today. It sounds like your Zune book is a history book detailing the best and the greatest of the 90's rap era. Waiting for Pac to become reincarnated into another rapper will never happen. He is an icon created by a producer in his prime, and artist in his prime, and an industry in its prime. Live in the past if you must, but in order to help the industry you don't turn your back on it and compare it to the past u look and find artists of today that appeal to you.
Explaining Wayne to some of you is like explaining him to my Dad. My Dad believes there is no artist today who makes anything he would consider music. They should listen to Marvin or Al to hear good music. And honestly that what you guys are saying too!!!! Listen to Pac, Too Short, and Mac Dre!

He is about MONEY!!! & even thoe he cant hold .2cents to Jay Z lyrics, He's making head lines with his show!!! LoL So thats making him alot of MONEY!!! He's on everyone's album right now getting paid!!! He might not be around for a very long time but he is trying to get every cent out their while he has the stage!!! Have you listened to the Wayne CD leaked before the Carter 3 to create buzz for album? There are 5 songs on there including one that he did for the BET awards called "Gossip". That was lyrically the most impressive five songs sampler i have ever heard.
You say that you believe Wayne is not lyrically on the same level as Jay or Eminem. Well why back after the Carter 2 when Jay and Dame split and he had his own label he was asked what artist would want if he could have to start his label and he answered "Wayne". He has been quoted several time praising wayne as the hottest MC in the game. As for Eminem, he is not even relevant. If anyone is a pop star Eminem is. I respect Jay the most because of his age and his ability the remain relevent. Eminem just dropped a CD and i dont remember him being asked to perform on the BET Awards.

He did that song because it has been in constant radio circulation for a minute now. Also it is a very popular video that showcases him and the next big thing Drake.

Just because I like bay area rappers doesn't mean that I'm dated.... Jay z tried to retire after ten years too short is still rappin' still making money. I think rap has slowly been going down hill......If you could go back in time 15 years and play a new song from today... It would more then likely get laugh at.

People gotta understand that artists will do anything for publicity and money.
Whether it's bling bling, stunnas, hennessy, weed, bape, auto-tune, scrapers, etc. People will keep rapping about that shit until it gets played out to make MONEY.
Talking shit to other rappers will make publicity as well. Even bad publicity is still publicity.
I agree with some of the things Jay-Z says but why doesn't he actually retire? He never will he just says that to build up hype IMO.
