If y'all like some twisties and a lil mountain runs you could go 92 to 280 south and get off on Woodside Rd. Then take 84 all the way in to San Gregorio then head up hwy 1 to HMB. This is part of a route us supra peeps take when we go cruising.

I'm thinking skylinbe south instead of 280, then cutting over to the coast. A couple of different options for that

Are you thinking of going through Kings Mountain? Taking 35 at the top of 92 next to the cemetery then cutting over to 84 and go to the coast? Nice drive too. Either would be fun.

yeah, theres a couple of options off 35 we could take. Would definitely be more fun than all the freeway driving. I think everyone will enjoy the twisties and nice scenery there too.

Ya the twisties are always fun. 280 is a nice hwy but it also has had a LOT of chp lately so you gotta be careful. Well I had the car aligned and on the trailer ready to go but hell I got some vip hospitality tickets to the Autolite nationals. So unloaded the car and put it back in the garage. I can't pass up the opportunity to go the nationals and see the big dogs run.

From SJ, head North on 680, exit Stoneridge Dr, go left at the light, back over the overpass, make a right at the first light, pass the Fire Station, make a left at the next light and into the lot right there....easy [Big Grin]

Anyone needing more info regarding this meeting spot can pm me. [burnout]

For everyone meeting at Stoneridge...hold off on leaving until 1:15 or 1:30....

I'll be diverting the group to there and we'll be able to ALL cruise from there....

The group meeting in Benicia will be meeting up with everyone @ Stoneridge as well....

Well the only good thing I can say about this cruise was it had a good turnout. But just like the Gallop, it was a clusterf**k!!!! The only part of the cruise that seemed organized was from Benicia to Stoneridge we had all the Stangs in formation. But from Stoneridge to HMB, it was way too spread out & unorganized.

IMO the only time I had fun was once we left the vistapoint up hwy 35, through the twisties. My solid axle stang hung with the C5 vette & Z06 pretty damn well through the twisties I must say!!!! Too bad after this point the rest of the pack left me behind as I walked to my car, which I thought was kinda f'd up especially since I had no idea how to get to HMB from there, & I didnt see what direction everyone went.

After this I had no choice but to turn around & go home solo. Thanks to the organizers 4 putin this together anyway though, & better luck next time....

It was pretty confusing from stoneridge-no doubt about that. There were a lot of cars to keep track of and a lot of lights and things to get caught at. I got appointed lead car at the last minute. We tried to go real slow to let everyone catch up, but some people prolly made some wrong turns.
I know it sucked getting left at 4 corners. I think some of us got freaked out by the CHP. It looked like he was out there to meet a quota and wanted to ticket everyone who was there. So some people weren't waiting to be next on the ticket list. If you would have known the way it would have been easy to catch up as we only went about 35 to 40 mph to the coast.
If this ever gets set up again I would be willing to get involved and help set it up as I have led a lot of cruises before. Those usually have maps, directions, meet up points, cell phone numbers etc.
On the other hand I must say it was a very impressive turn out at stoneridge. Did anyone get any pics or a count? A lot oif nice cars and a good mix of ford and chevy. It seems almost everyone made a great effort not to act up and keep the group together. I met some new people today and hope to cruise with everyone again, maybe with a little bit better organization.

Cruise was fun interesting. A little disappointed that "Stang Up Fam", a few other mustangs and a camero was left at the gas station with no notification. Other than that, the ride out was cool. We navigated our way to Half Moon Bay and hung there for a little bit, then turned the search into our own cruise since we were 13 deep ourselves. Thanks for posting the ride out and can't wait for the next one.

Sorry that we left others behind...

I was surprised to see that you guys didn't follow...

I personally got freaked out by the CHP myself because I had one of the loudest cars there...

Epic(dustin).. real sorry about that bro..for some reason I thought you were right behind us or I would have waited....I waited for everyone at everypoint in the leg....it was tough from the Mall over though because of the amount of cars

it was definitely a fun and interesting cruise...too bad some people broke down though....

the white 03/04 cobra was a friend of mine's...he just bought it off another friend of mine about a week ago...it's a Jeff S. tuned car....

Thanks to Kevin---blown Viper--- for helping with the 3rd leg of the run....we counted 64 at Stone RidgeI wish more could have followed us in but there was a dickhead cop who stopped one of guys anyways.....just to be a dick....

Stang Up Fam...thanks for showing up in force guys....besides the Nascar "tire warming" action in the middle of the highway...you guys seemed pretty chill and had a decent sized group of 4.6's....

Yeah, I gotta say that the stangup family conducted themselves pretty well for the most part and was real good about trying to keep the group together.
I felt bad we left them but I have learned from the many car cruises I've organized that if one car gets pulled over, everyone else should leave them. I know that sounds bad but if that one is getting a ticket and if everyone waits, it's highly likely the cop will fill his quota of tickets for the week with everyone already stopped. If I got pulled over myself, I would hope everyone just goes because there's no sense in them getting a ticket with me.
What we should have done was exchange numbers so the people left behind could have caught up.
All in all-room for improvement, but still a great time with all the car people and I hope we do it again soon.

I was thinking of doing a short run to Hot August nights on Saturday...

exactly!
that sheriff was an ass.
First we comply and leave, then he pulls someone over anyways.
I saw him on my way home going the opposite direction. He looked at me like I was the big fish that got away.
BTW there a few pix on the corvette forum.
