Very true Dustin but good luck smogging it and using it as an efficient daily driver, been there done that honestly would take a nasty n/a 32v over a nice h/c/I stroker pushrod SBF anyday..also what fox with headers/tune/gears/minor suspension mods and slicks runs bottom 12s (Shit,my 99 cobra went 12.50s with exhaust ,slicks and a SRA only and it had 355s )I for one on a budget love simple bolt-ons rather than a whole engine rebuild, and a couple grand for a engine build try 3-5k plus for a nice 347..maybe with used parts and machine work hook-ups a little cheaper..New heads alone are over a grand, and GOOD crank, rods, piston setup is another 1500-2k,not to mention machine work,upper/lower manifold, exhaust, clutch, trans (t5 lol) the list goes on an on can't just build a motor with no supporting goodies..

For gurjit, the only reason why the 4.30 didn't work in your car was because you couldn't keep up with the gear and you liked to do 3rd rolls... 4.30 gear in a 32v is the way to go!
I had 4.30 in my 01 cobra with 96-98 cams and shifted it at 7200 every gear.... and on a full bolt on car and 150 shot was only good for 119mph...
300 rw did u see his mod list lol sorry man guaranteed that car makes north of 375 rw easy...nobody claimed a n/a 32v was fast,I just respected the vid I originally posted cause makin good power in a n/a 32v is not easy.. [ 2014-01-10, 12:50 PM: Message edited by: SIC9250 ]

A few grand into a SBF 302 will build you a stout N/A close to 400rw 347. A few grand into a B head N/A 32V will net you what, 325-330rw, if you are lucky? You said it yourself Brandon, too hard to make good power with those motors N/A. Yeah they sound good, & rev high, but leave much else to be desired, IMO....
Who said anything about B heads that's no secret bud...

$700 stroker kit from ADPerformance, machine work, $400, used aluminum heads for $800-$1000. Used intake, $300, NA power pipe $200, used long tubes, $250, gaskets & other shit... There you go about $3k & it will shit on a built N/A 32v... May not pass smog, but it will spank the 32V on the way to the illegal smog spot LOL... Just sayin...
I just know SBF go fast parts are so plentiful & you can find them used all day, so I rarely buy new shit for my fox.... with my 331 build, I did go new on the internals, but even that was under $1500, & I could have went cheaper & still been fine, but I went with all 4340 forged shit, just gotta search around for the good deals.
Also, a T45 aint much better than a T5... Both are junk LOL [ 2014-01-10, 01:02 PM: Message edited by: *EPIK* ]

I have to agree, most people that have build 32V would never do it again! Yes I'm one that put about 10K+ into my old 96 (not including the blower). I can't even imagine if I would have put that money in a 5.0!

I honestly would rather have a decent bolt on 32v than a modded to hell pushrod motor. Been there done that, Couldnt stand it. I love the "stock" feel of a 32v.

Ok all bullshit aside, 32v's are cool, I've owned a couple, both B & C headed cars, & out the box they are definitely ALOT better than the old SBF, very smooth, fun, decently fast cars, & make great DD's, I will give you that. But, I would prefer a modded pushrod motor if building a fast N/A car was my goal.
Just my 2 cents....

Lol the Nievness in this thread
Dustin like stated before my 99 cobra (Chris's old car,you kno it well, had your factory mach SRA I believe) ran 12.5s with an x pipe, mufflers and slicks, that's all!..2 10ths slower than your H/C/I notchback...if you think a built 347 vs a built n/a 32v (cams and all) would be embarrassing you my friend got another thing coming lol just sayin!! We're not talking your local 13 second bs cobras and machs I'm talking the real deal shit like I or you would own if that was our forte' ...let's throw a stroker motor and heads/sr intake/cams at a 32v like the ole 302 and see where they stand, bet you find out in about 10/11 seconds a BIG suprise..Nobody around here is a n/a 32v extremist.period.anything with that much effort into it will haul ass but to say a 32v n/a can't is just ignorance... I'm not a 32V hater, just not my thing after owning a couple from 2005-2011. Any real driver would've gotten my car to a 12.0, maybe even an 11.99, but I'm not a good example of the best driver, plus my car had a fucked up tach & no weight transfer.
Not too sure about Chris's Cobra, which Chris?

sounds far from a stock comfy smooth DD with that list of mods, nor is it smog legal. & honestly I have a hard time believing the 117mph trap speed n/a, but thats what it says?
