*in my best Quick65 vioce* Of course, my car weighed in at 3700lbs when it ran 135.22mph (If I remember correctly Quick's is between 3000 & 3200lbs)........& I was on DOT street tires so I couldn't go WOT till the top of 2nd. Plus I was seeing under 16psi.....again launching off idle. & my 10.11 pass I accenetally launched in 2nd gear & short-shifted into 3rd around the 330ft mark... Oh, and I still run a stock Throttle body & intake manifold....so that has to be holding me back. *Quick65 voice off*
But yeah, Quick65 is faster....
come on shaun, give me a break with the excuses. can i trade in the small "light weight" and small "full-slick" bears for a medium sized "i do efi performance tuning and motor development for a living" bear? *with carnival misic playing in the background* hurry! hurry! hurry! step right up!
ummmmmmm you ok,you hit your head recently?

Defintaly not. No way am I going to race in the heat of the summer during the daytime. I'll lose ~50hp easy from heat-soak. Best case is we get some cool TNT evening & I'll take her out then.

i tried telling joey the same thing last night, about the hot weather and all, he just doesn't seem to understand the fact that being able to move twice as much air through a given displacement is done by compressing the air. when you compress air it becomes very hot=significantly less atomized fuel in the charge=less horsepower.

LOL I will say it again you Sac guy's are spoiled buy your strip with the undersea leval air conditions and great traction. Go race it in the heat see what you can run under normal summer conditions. Sucks to only race your car a few months out of the year ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Redding is typically hotter than Sac. Plus it doesn't hook nearly as good.
Joey doesn't care about heat. N/A + a good shot of nitrous & heat doesn't matter. N2O chills things down nicely. [ June 21, 2007, 10:34 PM: Message edited by: 93PONY ]

Well shit remind me never to go to Redding track then. I'll stick to Cummins Speedway where records are set with every pass!

that's exactly what i hope my fogger is talking about. hell, i might just take the blower belt off all together and just pill up on a 500 shot. that should give me enough torque and power to break every stuff. [ June 22, 2007, 05:17 AM: Message edited by: Quick65 ]

Sorry, Jay. You're definitely wrong there. Your car is clearly not on casters. Wheel cradles don't count. [ June 24, 2007, 12:03 PM: Message edited by: iceman302 ]

All the interior panels and the old roll cage were orange. lol I think he was making a Fastback Dukes of Hazard car. lol have you got anything done on your car yet. I see the quarter panel appears to be on or is it sitting on there for the pics. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

The car just came back from being completely sandblasted. It's been primed and is being readied for the mini-tub. I just picked up the inner fenderwells on Friday.

No. They are '64-'66. I assume that the '67 has slightly more room, but it'll be a little more "stealth" the way we're doing it and will give us enough room to run into the leaf springs. There's not really any more we can do short of going to a coilover setup.
