I dont get why that funny.

1. The ZX14 has a 188cc bigger motor
2. The ZX14 has 31HP more
3. The ZX14 is lighter
4. The ZX14 handles better
5. The ZX14 has better brakes
6. The ZX14 looks way better

Whats funny about that?

Way smart advice. Bike are NOT forgiving, you lose it swinging a stang and you have a bent rim, you lose it on a 90Mph wheelie you have a coffin thats filled.

Be careful

Hoggs are more dangerous in my opinion. Less control, cant split lanes as easy. Sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Unless your like 50 or something, cruisers are too boring.

hog are the shit if you know how to ride one.best ride ever and a stock hog sucks ass you gotta get some motor work done just like in a mnustang or else its no fun unless u just like cruzin and looking pretty.1st bike bro get a gsxr 750.i love all bikes but gixxers are the best imo.not to small not(600)not to big (1300/1400) right in the middle no one else makes a 750.if you do get something like a 1000 or bigger dont be a fool.its all in the wrist baby cause the bike only does what you make it do so people that tell you dont do it are just scary and have no self control.i have never had my m1 or taken the safty rider class either not that i condone but its on you as a person.i been riding bikes all my life so that makes a world of a difference.just be safe [patriot]

riding alone sucks.

I don't know. For me it is all about ME, the bike, and that next corner at the track. If your into that companionship thing and are more of a cruiser type then get yourself a hog and some matching brain buckets and leather chaps that your buddies are sporting [burnout] I guess the sport bike version would be matching Icon vests over t-shirts complete with a jean shorts/tennis shoe combo. You don't want to be one of these guys:

 -

Jaejae - You really have to ask yourself why you want a bike in the first place. If it is to ride around the city and show up at the local Starbucks with you buds then get whatever bike you want (doesn't matter really as your bike doesn't really scream out to everyone what skills you have on a bike). I guess the "its better to look good then to feel good" applies here. You will probably get some smirks from guys that actually ride though

My first was a kawi 250 for about 4-6 months
My second is a cbr 600rr that I still have
My third that I picked up just last sunday is a cbr 1000rr.

Honestly if you're totally new do yourself and your family a favor and get a 250 something. Kawi or Honda cruiser even. You are going to make mistakes,...mistakes that could kill you on even a 600 bike.

In the end you are going to do what you want.

Mistakes kill is correct. I dont know you personally but you do come off to me as young both age and mentality wise (please do not take offense). Which I was the same way when I was your age. I'd recommend taking Jdubs route. Very wise advice. I lost 3 friends in 5 years and almost lost my brother on bikes. And it was all mainly due to either inexperience or acting foolish.

I sold my CBR and havent been on a bike since. Honestly I am scared of them now. Which to me is even worse than being wreckless on one.

But like Jdub said you will do what you do. If you get a bike please take those courses and be safe and respect the bike (dont fear it).

Me and my Hubby were thinking of buying some street bikes, but heard the insurance on them were SKY HIGH. Is that true? How high are your guys insurances? We are 21 and 22 so our rates would be high cause of our age but just want an idea if the insurance is as crazy as people have been telling me.

Yeah great point n8. Don't fear the bike, respect it. Simple sound advice.

As for insurance I currently pay $57 every two months on my 600rr. I'm 32 with 4 points [Embarrassed]

Insurance does get expensive if you get a full coverage policy that covers you even while commuting. I'm sure the quotes for 20-30 bucks have limitations on their policies or are for recreational use only.

My Gieco policy is for full coverage and 1k deductibles. It is not for recreational use only.

i think that if you are at home on a dirtbike you should really put some thought into a supermoto bike. those are the OG hooligan bikes.ive been riding since i was young and out of all the 38 bikes in the last 10 years my street legal crf450 was the best.

Hi Jae Jae nice to see that ur alive and hopefully feeling better about life. Me I bought an older GSXR 750. It is the bomb. Still using it around the house to get used to it.

From all the advice you will get, I suggest it boils down to this , definately take the course. One, it will Dave you money and two it will show you the dynamics of the bike and how to be take are of it and be careful if dumbasses outhere.

It also let's you bypass the DMV riding test. Just be careful with anything u get. Shit I can be a dumbass on a Geo Metro and still die from that. So take it easy and enjoy any bike you get. From a 250 and beyond!!!

Whatever bike you decide on, here are my recommendations/insight:

- Get full coverage insurance, chain lock and rotor lock. Some fags stole my bike about a month ago...

- Majority of folks say to start with no more than a 600 cc if you don't have much riding experience. I say start with 750 or above. You'll want more power after a few months. Accidents on bikes don't happen because they're too fast, they happen because people ride like idiots!

- Riding is fun whether you're alone or with a group. I love it!

Good luck!

No one even bothered looking out or asking JaeJae how much experience he has with street bikes? AND recommending a ZX14R or anything bigger then 600? [Roll Eyes]

Some real riders on here [Roll Eyes]

Jae, if you have less then one year experience riding, i say start slow with a bucket 250 until you build your confidence up then upgrade to a 600. Preferably R6, Zx6r [Smile]
