It would have been exactly the same if the results were reversed. The mccain crowd was obviously disappointed that their candidate didn't win just as obama supporters would have been had he lost.
as for the racism, I didn't see or hear any republicans bring up the race card ever in this election. the only people who i saw bringing up the idea of race were the democrats and even obama himself. I look forward to the day when nobody votes for a candidate for the color of his skin or gender but the ideals he/she holds. CLEARLY that was not the case in this election.

If you listen to McCain's speech you would see why him being black is such a movement and advancement for America. Yes his overall civic duty doesn't change based on the color of his skin. Bah, nevermind. Just listen to McCain's speech. He said everything I said from the beginning of this whole McCain Obama thing.

this is pathetic....what does him being black have anything to do with anything? He won because people belived in what he was saying..people were ready for a change,or somebody trying to change things. You guy's all happy about him being a "black" pres might not be so happy in 4 years ,If he can't do what he says. It will be huge failure for the African American people and America. I personaly hope he succeds for all of us. Look at all the people who voted for him, he carried way more than just the black vote. It will be a historic step for Black men if he succeds....story still to be written.

Cant unspill milk. It will never be a huge failure for African Americans. Never. Listen to McCain's exit speech to answer your first question. If you cannot understand the monumental and historic value this election/nomination has. Then I have nothing better to say than I'll pray for you. But McCain said it better than I can, if you missed his concession speech you should watch it.
