Thats why Obama is the President Of The United States Of America!!

He is here to pull out those cockroaches out of their holes and spray anti-insect spray on them!

Did anyone notice, when McCain gave his speech and as soon as he mentioned Obama's name.. The crowd boo'd?

And then Obama gave his victory speech, when he mentioned McCain's name, out of the million people in attendance, there was no boo's or anything. Shows that WE (Obama Supporters) have class and are more mature.

It would have been exactly the same if the results were reversed. The mccain crowd was obviously disappointed that their candidate didn't win just as obama supporters would have been had he lost.

as for the racism, I didn't see or hear any republicans bring up the race card ever in this election. the only people who i saw bringing up the idea of race were the democrats and even obama himself. I look forward to the day when nobody votes for a candidate for the color of his skin or gender but the ideals he/she holds. CLEARLY that was not the case in this election.

If you listen to McCain's speech you would see why him being black is such a movement and advancement for America. Yes his overall civic duty doesn't change based on the color of his skin. Bah, nevermind. Just listen to McCain's speech. He said everything I said from the beginning of this whole McCain Obama thing.

Very very classy speech. Much respect for that speech.

this is pathetic....what does him being black have anything to do with anything? He won because people belived in what he was saying..people were ready for a change,or somebody trying to change things. You guy's all happy about him being a "black" pres might not be so happy in 4 years ,If he can't do what he says. It will be huge failure for the African American people and America. I personaly hope he succeds for all of us. Look at all the people who voted for him, he carried way more than just the black vote. It will be a historic step for Black men if he succeds....story still to be written.

Cant unspill milk. It will never be a huge failure for African Americans. Never. Listen to McCain's exit speech to answer your first question. If you cannot understand the monumental and historic value this election/nomination has. Then I have nothing better to say than I'll pray for you. But McCain said it better than I can, if you missed his concession speech you should watch it.

Obama! [patriot]

really interestings post on here. i am kinda glad this is done i have not seen so many people get worked up over an election before. i think McCain and Obama's message of unit is what we all should strive for now.

to reply to what fastback said about Obama willing to bomb a country. Obama has already said he is going to bomb pakistan specifically were Al Quitea(sp?) has taken over. and being pakistani myself i could not be happier. In my dad's hometown alone thier have been almost 400 deaths people who are being killed because they are shia muslims and not wahabi muslim all the killing are being done by al quitea. the northern terriotries of pakistan have been over run. yes thier will be some innocent causalties but at this point they are killing so many people over there that they just need to be stoped!

Did anyone hear Obama call into 106 kmel last night? i was picking up my wife from bart at 630 and just listing to kmel and they jokingly said "hey we should get obama on the radio" and he called in!!! he encouraged everyone to vote, i was blown away to hear him on that station! doing stuff like that won him this election.

You do not need to pray for me. I am not blinded by color ,I can see the entire picture. I have no prejudices's to any man. I hope he succeds for the future of America. Why would I need to listen to McCain to form my own opinion?lol. If you think either one of these guy's is actualy in touch with the reality of the blue collar working man ,think again.

I find it interesting that they keep saying African American.. No offence I am sure its a proud day for some.. But hello he is half White.. 50/50... So they still consider him a full blooded African American? If so I want to be called a Irish, Indian, German American and collect all the benefits! Going to call the local Indian casino and ask for my monthly check!

[patriot]

I didn't vote for him, but there is nothing I can do, I just hope the guy comes through with all his promises and doesn't rape the military like Clinton did.

Posted by N8 (Member # 6048) on :

Actually you are correct, I would not need to pray for you. But I do pity you, if you truly can't see the symbolism/advancement in this historic election. You are actually missing out on a large chunk of what makes America great IMO.

But I do not want to argue. So we can agree to disagree

lmao....this is the funniest thing I have read here in a while. But you know what. You could be technically right. Its like the age old riddle. Is the zebra white with black stripes of black with white stripes. But soon as you mix a African American with any race you pretty much become African American, its a gift and a curse. Its one of those things you don't question. It just is. I am actually mixed as well. But no one can tell me I am not black...lol

Actually
Ask yourself this. If you saw him as a regular man, walking down the street. And you were asked to classify him by race. What would you consider him?

I would not accept or do I neep your pitty anyhow. You are so blinded by color you can't see the light N8. Yes I agree it is a large step for Black america( I just call it america because I do not segragate by race). I am trying to see this as a good thing for ALL of America because we are a melting pot of races. Every time I try to post up something about America people like your self always have to bring color into it. How as a country will we ever get past this if the people who cry foul about racism alway keep bringing it up ? Pray for your self and pity your self N8 you need it way more than me.

Well I know my words are falling on def ears. But you are doing the equivalent of skipping over a dime to get a nickle. You say you are looking past race (which is great believe me). But then you say "I am trying to see this as a good thing for ALL of America". That is where the contradiction occurs. He (Obama) symbolizes the "good" you are looking for. And he does so mainly because of race. He is the first African American president, as soon as that was announced he became an inspiration to every American to believe in the American Dream (If they hadn't already). He is a symbol of advancement and a icon that can put the scarred past of America further in the rearview (you spoke of that as well). That is the very substance of what makes America great, the ability to dream and achieve, even the most loftiest of goals (which is why I said you are missing a large chunk of what makes America great). Now as commander in chief we will have to judge him by his duties now. Not his words. And that judgment is a cumulative one. So at the the present there is no "good" you can draw or search for. Only "good" speculation. So in essence you are indeed looking right past the dime and settling for the nickle by not understanding the magnitude of this election. I for one never thought I would see it in my lifetime.

Last thing too.
A good:
He was able to pull several generations together, several ethnic groups, several idealistic groups, Genders, religious sects, all in staggering numbers to the likes that has never been seen. I for one feel more connected to the political process and am proud to have voted. And actually feel like I didnt settle. Those are good things as well. And have nothing to do with color.!

It is a big step for blacks and other minorities as we can now feel we all truly have an equal opportunity to become or be whatever we want to be. I'm hispanic and have always believed that, but I have a lot of family and minority friends that don't believe that. This also helps whites in that they can no longer feel any type of guilt for having what alot of people say an "advantage". And they can no longer be accused of being the "brick wall" that stands in the way of minorities. Of course this new step with Obama doesn't solve all the racial issues we have presently, but it is a big step for everyone in this country. But more importantly I think we all know deep down that Obama was and is the most qualified person for the presidency. Lets hope that he follows through with everything he's promised. [patriot]

I can't vote for someone that is Pro Abortion. Someone that is fine with letting a live baby that is born from an induced abortion gone wrong just sit there and die, or sufficate it to death, or strangle it or whatever other fucked off way they can think of. WTF,...I'm sorry but that is the very most sick thing I've ever heard of!

This is probably better served in a PM. But anti Pro-choice folks always intrigue me. Their views are always different and sometimes extreme. Are you a pure anti Pro-choice. Like a girl gets raped and you wanna make them have the baby? Or if the mother continues the preg/birth possible death could come her way? I must say for the most part I am pro-choice but do agree their needs to be some governing (which is a contradiction in itself). But I have talked to some people that I feel are way out in left field with it. Just curious. Feel free to pm me.

But I do commend you on having a passionate reason for your choice. Not some hollow opinion/rumor. I personally didnt like McCains stance on education, taxes and the war.

its all perspective. i personally have a friend from back in the day who got an abortion becuase she was raped and got pregnat by the rapist. if she would have had the kid she would have gave it up for adoption and we would have had a future welfare recipiant and a general drain on the economy.

if you want to be pro life thats fine but then you better open up your home and become a foster parent.

I'm 100% pro choice! Men "AND" women mess up at times. A child should not be brought into this world BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE!

Is it a form of birth control, NO IDIOT, so don't even try with that bullshit claim.

It's a woman's right to "decide" if she's ready to have a child or not, 100%.

so are you saying that all offspring of rapist and go to a foster home are gonna get welfare.im pretty sure that if you are a welfare recipient the people who foster out kids arent gonna let you get a child.not to mention that not all people follow in their birth parents footsteps.

i think that the fostering family would determine the outcome of the childs future over their dna

thats exactly my point. what i am saying is if we force people who are not ready to become parents to have kids. then those who forsed them should raise the unwanted children and prevent them from going down that path.

i do not think it is a great leap to say that unwanted children raised by unqualified parents end up on welfare or worse. as far as assumsions go i think that is pretty spot on.

i personal do not belive a baby has enough form to be considered alive in the first trimester and i belive all abortions should be done within that time. so how can you kill something that isnt alive yet.

but why has not one answered they question i have put out there to "pro life" people. would you peronally be willing to take a unwanted child from a woman who wanted to have an aborition?

if you want to change my opion on pro life vs pro choise come up with a solution to deal with all those unwanted children. becuase our systems can not even handle the kids in the system now. if your solution is viable then we will talk.

Im not an extreemest, I just think leaving a baby on a table to die is sick. If you call me Pro Choice then that is fine or Pro Life I don't care...I'm sure there is a medium between those that just doesn't have an offical title.

ULTIMATLY I feel a woman has the right to do whatever the fuck she wants to...go ahead and get an abortion, who am I to tell you what to do. I couldn't put myself in their position so I wouldn't even judge them. But to refuse medical care to a LIVE BORN BABY and let it die is sick.

Thats all I was saying, end that type of abortion! When does a person begin to have human rights?? At the very least BIRTH,....am I wrong?

The fact that Obama voted three time in favor of this was enough to change my vote.

Here, I just found an example on youtube. . . does not show any abortion photos. It may or may not fully tell you my perspective but it will give an idea of what I'm talking about.

Someone please tell me.. how is Obama "African American" he wasn't born in Africa. Half his family is White. He was raised in America.. Should he just be called a damn AMERICAN!

I think the whole title thing is a joke... We all bleed red, I have served with some of the most respected Black Marines who would rather be called an American then an African American for the simple reason they were born and raised in America.

That's whats wrong with the "Segregation" the stupid titles.... Be proud you live in this country.. or move to Iraq or , Iran.... I have been there and even as messed up as things are here.. We still have it 100x better.

One nation... 3 colors.. Red, White and Blue!

wow I am not to sure what is so hard to understand about the significance of the first black/african american president. Like I said. McCain said it better than I ever could. Kingroy posted a link to the youtube vid of his concession speech. Listen to it and comprehend it. And just to clear the record I would be equally ecstatic if Hillary had won, or if a Native American won, or if a person of Asian descent won. But me being black it makes me that much prouder. And it makes for very good inspiration talk to my kids about the American Dream.

srt-4
Honestly if someone had told you 4 years ago we would have a black president on this day. Would you have believed them? If someone said bet everything you own on those words would you have? If the answer is no. Then you really do understand the magnitude of this election. If you say yes. Then you are a modern day marvel and should go play the lottery immediately.

One thing I really really hope is when he screws up and does stupid things, which he will. That the American people and the press come down on him hard like they have to Bush.

I am getting ready to hide and save any penny, nickle, dime and quarter I can find. Get ready to start paying more money for everything, if he is gona be rasing taxes on everybody over 250k. The rich will always be rich and now they are gona have to make more money to compensate for the higher taxes, only way to do that is to charge more. And if you think Obama's tax breaks are gona be enough, think again. Most will only see about $1000 more a year. So about 83 bucks more a month. Which you will be spending on more expensive products everywhere. If you don't think Protor and Gamble, Walmart, and other large compainies like them arn't gona raise their prices your a fool.

Just be ready for some really tough times ahead, for all. There is no way that spending another TRILLION dollars and giving tax breaks is going to work. Not going to very pretty.

Obama getting elected could be the best thing ever for the Conservative movement. Just so people can see what kind of lier he really is and how his vague promise of "Change" will not happen. The only crappy part I can see of him being elected is him appointing a supreme court judge. He will be out in 4 years, but the judge could be in the high court passing idiotic left wing, commi pinko, bed wetting laws, for decades.

Oh well, just have to live with it for 4 years and hope people can wake up in that time. [patriot]

Posted by N8 (Member # 6048) on :

Wow some of you should really play the lottery the way you guys make such pin point predictions. From this point on I would think Obama's success scale is a cumulative one. Meaning action not words. I would also imagine it is safe to assume that anyone who is against Obama here is/was pro-Bush and voted for him. So already I would say your ability to reason and project/forecast political outcomes is highly flawed.

Anyway I think I have said all I can say here. Any more and this could be a flame session.

Of course I voted for bush. You imagine if Al Gore was in office when 9-11 happened. Imagine the bigger crap hole we would be in if Kerry was in, actually I think Kerry would have been a do nothing president. But like I was listening to the radio this morning, can't remember what guy said it. Most if not all presidents are blind dates. There is no presidental proving ground or training. Especially for somebody like obama that hasn't done much of anything. I hope he has a good set of advisors. And like 2Stangs said, hope he does well for AMERICA.

Oh and on the other topic, this bull crap about a black president is getting old. I listen XM, sirius and regular radio and all these people call up and all they say is I am glad we have a black man in the white house. I understand the big picture, but as this point in our countries history it shoudn't be such a big deal. And you know a lot of black people voted for him just cause he is black or atleast if you walked down the street you would think he was. Just really lame of people and uneducated of them. Most of the people that I listened to today sounded like they had no idea what he represented other then the word "Change" and all they want is for bush to be out.

Are President should be a proud American. [patriot] over 35 years old and born in the United States,and want to do there best to serve the people of this country...all colors.

Thats it people, the only requirments no race no religion no color.

any of you people ever read a history book around here?

BTW the 15th admendment made it legal for black people to vote in 1870. but allot of states still made it difficult the voter reform act in the 1960's really helped out. So depending on where your office worker lived she could have legaly voted 138 years ago.

Yea we'll save trillions now, then we'll have to go back and spend trillions later after iraq gets taken over by another tyrannous dictator because we didn't finish the job.

And i wouldn't care what color/race/gender obama was, i still wouldn't like him. I agree it is a big deal that we elected the first black president. Hopefully from this point forward we will no longer have to focus on race at all and can concentrate on the candidates themselves. because lets face it, many people voted for obama because he was black. plain and simple. They overlooked everything else about his character and record (or lack of), and the friends he keeps. I for one, hope things do change and change for the better. but right now I'm skeptical about that.

And just so you know, i voted for alan keyes, the other African American candidate on the independent ticket. [patriot]

Let my words not be twisted please. I did not vote for Obama because he was black, though I fear many did. Which you guys are right is wrong. Hell I was going to vote Hillary until she went bonkers. I never had McCain as my vote due to his stance on education, the war and taxes. I just was not feeling his platform. So for me it is not about color as far as who my vote went to. But... Now that I feel the right man is in the drivers seat and he is black. That is like icing on the cake for me. And it is tremendous for the US. Will it make him a better president? Actually in some ways yes. But I wont get into that, too long of a thread already. And for you guys that do not understand what the significance of this election represents you have to look no further than the civil rights movement. We are not that far removed from where blacks and women could not vote. Hell even drink out of the same water fountain. So from that to a Black President in basically 2 generations is tremendous growth. Not sure how hard that is to understand. And that undeniable has everything to do with color.

And as far as his performance and what will happen. We do not know. All we can do is speculate. But we are already winning with this nomination, magic has already happened. So we are off to a great start with this new president. And it will be really hard to be worse than the Bush administration.

You never answered my question.
But then again you did. Just for the simple fact 9 out of 10 Americans 5-10 years ago would have thought it, far-fetched, a pipe dream, too good to be true that we would see a black president today. That is a good reason why this election is so important. Why would the vast majority find it impossible? Far-fetched? hmmmm. I wonder. And for the person that said people voted for him because he was black and that was wrong. Do you not think or speak of the people who didn't vote for him only because he is black? Do you not think that is wrong as well or a door that swings both ways?

Like I said color was not the reason for my vote. And I highly doubt that is the reason he won. People believe in him and his charisma. Now the fact that he is black is a added plus on multiple levels.

Heres one for everyone..What if Obama what not Black? what if he was Hispanic or Asian, would that be okay. Or should a president only be White?

If we had a black/mexican/asian/indian, queer, woman presidential candidate that stood for the same beliefs as me, I would vote for her. I think it's absurd that a bunch of people were voting for Obama simply because he was black. I'm sure it's been posted here already, but go look it up on youtube - howard stern had interviewed some people and it was obvious that a significant portion of this election had to do with race.

I don't like Obama (I didn't like McCain either for what it's worth) but I wish him the best and hope he doesn't screw America. [patriot]

What Insurance dude was implementing was that leave them alone and they will leave us alone. Let them deal with their own problems, we have our own problems to worry to deal with.

well maybe he should be more specific because its very easy to take
" the middle east would not be messed up if we would not have gotten involved in the first place."
in the wrong context

al stock said it eactly how i ment it.

you are right gtowned about how that area has issues and will always have issues.

but lets not forget that rumsfeld help put sadam in power. and the cia trained bin laden to fight the russians. we created our own biggest enemies. not on purpose but we are directly respoinsable for thier rise to power. its not a big surpise that they turned on us. lets avoid creating our newest enemy!

It is true there were probably some who didn't vote for him because he was black, and that is wrong too. I think it's safe to say, though, that a lot more people voted FOR him because of race than voted against him because of race.

I agree totally, that far too many made their choice to or not to vote for him based on race. I think far too much was made of the superficial things all through out this campaign. Race, his name, his father, was he born in Hawaii.... Focus on the goods so we can be sure to have the best fit in that seat. In some ways I think McCain cheated himself by focusing on non-campaign related things and a smear campaign. I didn't get to see the real him until his concession speech.

McCain lost all points and lost all credibilty from me after Joe The Plumber scandal, after Joe was brought up, McCain's only focus for the next few weeks was Joe The Plumber over and over.

What I found funny is when under a independent study. They found Joe the Plumber would come out better under Obama's plan. Plus he had no license to be plumbing where he was at. And is gonna get hit with tax evasion. Why he chose to bring him along I have no clue. It's sad when you see the break down of the popular vote. You can clearly see the generational divide and the shear geographic nature of his wins almost hint of a racial divide of his supporters. Obama clearly bridged all gaps en route to his resounding win.

So you guys think we should just load everyone up and leave Iraq over night? While you don't agree with us being there we can't just up and walk away until there is a new, stable government in place. Think about how easy it would be for terrorists to walk in, toss out an unstable government and take over that country. With billions of dollars of oil money they could really wage war on us in a catastrophic way. No matter what we need to finish what we started.

But there needs to be an exit strategy. but you are right we cant leave this pandora's box open. But we also have to have a clear agenda and exit plan.

Just to clear up any misconception, in case not everyone knows this, but Saddam didn't just appear in Iraq. He was placed into power and supported by our government after we helped him depose the king, who we also placed into power. He just got out of control.

So Iraq probably won't get taken over by any random dictator. Let's all hope that free elections over there will stop history from happening again.

Yea and if you really know what you're talking about you'd know that any plumber can work under his company owners license and does not have to have his own license unless he owns his own company. I think it's funny how much time was spent on "investigating" joe the plumber just because he asked a hard question that obama wasn't really prepared for. News flash: joe the plumber wasn't running for anything!!! but yet they had a news van parked outside his house for weeks after! where was the news van outside bill ayers house?? Reverend Right's house??? Pastor Flaggar's house??? these were people who obama was truly associated with and friends with and yet the press never made an investigation into these men and there connections!! the old phrase, "you can learn a lot about a person by the friends he keeps" still holds true for me, and I don't like the friends obama keeps.

I understand it is a big deal for the first black president and its a big deal for America. I just have a problem with some of these people that only voted for him cause he was black and democrate. Cause all they cared about was getting bush out of there. I am glad our country has came to the point where they can elect a black man, maybe one day a Mexican, or Asian and even a women. I just think Obama wasn't the right MAN Black or white, man for the job.

Obama doesn't say how long he is going to give his tax break, could only be a year and then he will probably let the bush tax breaks expire will be pretty much his way of raising taxes with out having to say he raised them himself.

Towards the end there when he said "to spread the wealth" commonsense should have jumped into the american peoples head. Spreading the so called wealth is not the answer at all. I would like somebody to show when and in what country spreading the wealth worked(taking from the rich people and giving it to the poor to take away social classes).

As far as the middle east they brought us into it. When 9-11 happened they brought in to the land, and you should be damn happy it is there and we are keeping it there. Number one thing above all race, politics, or anything, he must keep America safe.

As far as saving trillions in the middle east. Don't expect that to happen very soon so that has nothing to do with it. He plans on spending a trillion more as soon as he can.

With the Libs gaining more power in all points of government, it will be interesting to see if they can actually do something good for this country. I am glad there is such a thing as Majority rule and minority rights, and that the libs won't be able to kill everything good in this land.

Atleast one good thing happend this election, and that Prop 8 passing [patriot]

I just hope everyone can Stop looking for Obama to mess up so you can say I told you so!! He is a man & we all make mistakes!! But we are so far in the hole it will take at least 2 terms to dig us out of the hole!! so I think nothing will change in the near future but we will see small signs of things heading in the right direction!! Yea and the libs are already filing suit against that. My teacher even brought up the excuse that people didn't know what they were voting for because it was a double negative (meaning to vote FOR gay marriage you had to vote AGAINST the proposition) and some people got confused and voted the wrong way. I say, we voted on the same thing 6 years ago (prop 22) and it won by an overwhelming majority of over 60%. six years later the only thing has changed is more liberal young people with different moral values can now vote.

I think any excuses made for why prop 8 passed is not valid. There was so much money spent on advertising and getting the word out on BOTH sides anybody who didn't know what they were voting for or against probably shouldn't have been in the voting booth at all anyway! This proposition has left all the liberals bewildered because they all thought that the majority liberal population of california would make for an overwhelming support for gay marriage. Reality check: a majority of californians still hold strong traditional family values and don't want the definition of marriage to change!! end of story!

funny thing is, you can really thank barack obama for prop 8 being passed. All the afican americans that came out to vote for obama also have traditional family values and voted for the proposition. statistics have already been posted to prove this point and bill o'reilly was just discussing it on his show.

+20....most of these clowns voted for Bush 2x's. So all of their political prophecies make about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine. Like it or hate it, he is our/your president. And one good thing is one would have to possess a almost extraordinary amount of stupidity and ignorance to do worse than Bush. And I think we can all agree that he is not nearly as stupid as Bush. So on that alone I think the guy needs a break and a chance to give this country a kick-start. His ideals are not that bad [Big Grin]

And I am glad prop 8 passed [Big Grin]

Not to start a flame war, or a war on terrorism thread but can you tell me;

What did Iraq had to do with this "war on terrorism". Last i HEARD, Osama and his crew of terrorists attacked us on Sept 11.

How did Bush keep us safe from them? Osama is still out there, watching CNN on his Plasma screen in Kabul.

Whole other discusion there bro. I don't think this is the thread to go deep on that. But Iraq does harbor known terrorists, and will continue to. Clinton had a chance to erase Osama from this earth but didn't and thats another story as well. What has happened has happened and saying bush didn't protect us well enough is to say the same for President Roosevelt not protecting us on December 7th.

I did my fair share of research on that Joe The Plumber, came to find out, he is full of shit.

1. (JTP) Joe the Plumber is NOT licensed as a Plumber
2. JTP has no specific plans to purchase or buying his bosses business
3. JTP's bosses business doesnt even make close to 200K, but closer to 100K
4. Buying his bosses business will be difficult to him because in 2006 he made 40K a year.

Just google him or watch his interviews on Youtube with Fox, CNN, MSNBC etc etc

Of course it's not going to happen overnight, but we are not getting anywhere, ok we got Saddam, do you know how he become that powerful? What are going to do, give another Saddam power to run Iraq? Regardless, if we finish the war, whats going to happen in the next 10-15 years there in Iraq? You guessed it...

its been a very long and tiring war, my neighbours son, 25yrs old, was killed in Iraq. She is a senior citizen, all she does now is sits infront of the TV and watches CNN 24/7 and still hopes her kid would return one day.

I pass by her door every single day and see the samething over and over, she has no husband, all byherself at the age of 56.

Everytime i see her, i ask myself "what are we still doing there?! WHY are we still there?! GTFO outta there before we continue to lose our soldiers over something that THEY DONT EVEN know what they are fighting for.

Ask Tony Blair, Donald Rumsfeld, Condelisa rice, ask the Bush Adminnistration about the WMD's and if they really ever existed. Ask to show PROOF, documentation, videos, any witnesses?

We are there now, been there for TOO LONG, finish up and come back to the USA and lets fight our own war in our own backyard. Stop making more and more enemies, stop instigating another Sept 11 in the future.

Oh, so i guess this license means nothing?

A W NEWELL CORP ALAN W NEWELL
License Number: PL-0000032957
License: ACTIVE 06/30/2009
Address:
2638 Talmadge Rd
Ottawa Hills OH, 43606-2334

and here's the website for the Ohio Department of Commerce.

https://www.comapps.ohio.gov/dic/dico_apps/lics/coemp_lookup/default.aspx

You can do the search yourself by looking up Joe's bosses' company name

My question is this, if they are somehow doing business illegally by not having a license at the county level, why have they been in business since 1974? [Confused]

4. Buying his bosses business will be difficult to him because in 2006 he made 40K a year.

Just google him or watch his interviews on Youtube with Fox, CNN, MSNBC etc etc

You left out this fact:
"But the county Wurzelbacher and his employer live in, Lucas County, requires plumbers to have licenses. Neither Wurzelbacher nor his employer are licensed there, said Cheryl Schimming of Lucas County Building Regulations, which handles plumber licenses in parts of the county outside Toledo."

And since you tried to clown me with the "If you knew what you were talking about" statement. I figured I would point out that you did not know what the hell you were saying when you spewed that non-sense. I can take being clowned when I am wrong. But when you just talk out the side of your neck. I feel the need to adjust ones point of view with facts.. [Big Grin] but we are in agreement that he is a fraud. And why McCain took him with im on campaign crap I have no clue.

Ok, i'm gonna say it the same way i've been saying it on EVERY other "mustang" board I visit.

Blacks make up 12% of the US population
IF every black person voted for Obama it still would not give him the win he received.
Whites voted in HUGE numbers for him, which is outright shocking. I never thought i'd see this is my lifetime.
The age of racism has dropped, not completely of course because all I have to do is visit a "mustang" website, doesn't matter which one and you'll see just how much racism will never DIE lol

All of you who are already blaming Obama for things and he hasn't stepped foot 1 in the damn door yet.
FOr me it was NEVER about color, does it bring a special signifigance? yes, but at this time in our country, the race part is far from everyones minds(unless you're a racist, or a closet one).
Right now from the beginning I payed attention to both sides.

When it was Gore vs. Bush
I voted Gore, and nothing anyone can say will make me beleive that I was wrong.

When it was Kerry vs. Bush
I voted Kerry, and nothing anyone can say will make me beleive that I was wrong. Oh and save the "he would have done nothing after 9/11" comments cause it's bull. Wether he wanted to or not shit would have happened.

When it was Obama vs. McCain
I voted Obama and nothing anyone can say will make me beleive that I was wrong. The only reason given for voting for McCain was the "oh he's a war hero", or he's been in congress longer. In an election such as this, and watching all the debates, I clearly beleive the best man for THIS JOB AT THIS TIME won.
There's no mistake, the people spoke.
Get over it, suck it up

I bet a large number of the negative Obama comments come directly from pro Bush supporters.

It is not america's problem!

he already agreed with Bush that the troops should stay until 2011. I guess you missed that.

I know several people that served there and 3 people personally that were killed over there so I understand the loss but I'm still saying we need to finish what we started. Even if you don't agree with us being there or believe what led us to the war it doesn't change where we are right now.

OK you got me on the county license. So go back and read my post after that. The one that shows his company's STATE license. This is the information I was going off of. I did not know there was a requirement to have a different license to do the same thing at the city/county level. My dad is a general contractor and he has one license to operate his business in the state of california. There is no license to operate in santa clara county or san jose to the best of my knowledge. I had no reason to believe Ohio's laws were any different. I apologize for the "clowning" [patriot]

All this talk calling joe the plumber a fraud and full of shit is ridiculous. He's just an average guy like any of us, it just so happens he asked a question that some people in the obama machine didn't like. So now we all have to slam him and investigate him? I don't care who he is, what he does, if he pays his taxes on time, how much money he makes and whether he really plans on buying his bosses company (he later clarified that the question was a hypothetical one and he does not plan to buy the company any time soon). I care about the answer to the question he asked of obama, which to be honest scares me.

obama won by 7% (53% to 46%)So if every african american voted for him it definitely made a big difference. and i'm not saying this gave him the win, just saying it made a large impact on that win.

I agree with you that we cannot blame obama for things he hasn't done yet. Our country has been divided through this whole campaign and now we need to come together behind our new president elect. I didn't vote for him, but he will still be my president.

I mean but why ask hypothetical questions. Then inject yourself into them. Then back up like a crawdad when called on stuff. Where I am from that is called being "busted out". I still think it hurt McCain because this hypothetical question was later proved that Joe the Plumber would have loved it under Obama's plan. And trust me. People who make over 250k hide so much in deductions and receipts that the 36 to 39% tax jump will not hurt them one bit.

Well thank goodness for you that white people do not feel the same way about race as you. Obama would have never been elected. The last time I checked there were more white people than black in the USA. So buy your comment, Obama won despite all the racist people who voted for him.

Your sentiment is great but it is a weee bit misplaced. I am black and agree that this is great for the country and black folks as it shows advancement and puts to bed a lot of America's past demons. But if Obama was a Bush like candidate. I would be pretty pissed that he won even despite his ethnicity. But I am glad he won and I feel confident the best candidate is there and am ecstatic that he is a Black Man. And just to correct 2stangs. There are more white people than blacks that is true. But there are more minorities than whites. But I understand what you were trying to say. And for the most part agree. But you have to think. For every one person that may voted because he was black. There were at least 5 that voted against him because he was black. Which is sad both ways.

a. I didnt't vote for Bush either of his terms

b. Please, please people know wtf you are talking about before you try to clown anyone.

Obama won the popular vote as well as the electoral vote. So now where is your conspiracy theory.
http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Truthfully man, I really do not mind talking politics, religion or anything with people long as it isn't inflammatory, BS, or just ignorant. And I am not trying to clown. But far too many times you and a couple of others jump in with just non-sense. And it is stuff it would only take a couple of minutes of reading to figure out. If you want to put yourself out there as a reliable source or someone to take serious. Just take a little time to check your own words/info. I do not mind being taught something or being wrong. But damn man. To be so accusative and matter of fact and be wrong and try to clown at the same time. Is well.....retarded.

on the whole prop 8 thing. i voted no even though i am agaisnt gay marriage. and the reason why is, it scares me that we should sperate chruch from state but we constantly ignore that when it comes to gay marriage.

bottom line we denied a right to a group of people based on thier belifes.

once you start doing that whats next?

maybe we should deny the right to marry to anyone who is Atheist. they do not belive in god just like the gays so they shouldnt be married.

once you take away a right to a person based on thier belifs we are no longer the land of the free.

life, liberty and the persuit of happiness.

that should be for everyone other wise its meaningless.

lmao...sorry. But Gays do not believe in God?

I voted Yes, because I do not want that being taught in schools. And from some research I did, it seems that is the next logical step that the folks who lobby for the amendment take. Personally I do not care what they do. I just do not want it taught to my kids. And Aetheist can get married long as they are no same sex aetheist. I do agree it is a fine line they are walking. But I do not think there will be spill over.

I agree the electoral collage is BS, the popular vote should decide who leads the country. I know in this case it wouldn't have made a difference, Obama won plain and simple. I voted for McCain but I'm optimistic that things will go good, he has one hell of an uphill battle though. I'm encouraged to see the worlds reaction to the outcome, it looks like we'll be knocked down on the asshole of the world list..... doubtful anyone would ever overtake us as number 1.

Just curious. I am speculating in my guesstimate. Are you saying you know for a fact or are you guessing as well? My guess is based on the states he won (basically the whole bible belt) and the demographics he won (like the over 50's)

Yea I saw those stats. I think McCain won by a landslide with the old foggies of the old South.

Well this is from my non-indepth research. But once it is accepted onto the state constitution, it is fair game to be included in books and curriculum. Now I agree it is no means of protection as they will hear about it from other places. But for it to be possibly taught as part of a curriculum is a bit extreme to me. Other than that I really do not care what they do. And outside of a marriage license what else do they gain? They already can be classified as life partners and be eligible for benefits right? Or did I hear wrong on that?

I agree totally with you N8, who cares what they do. They do have almost all the same rights as a married couple but I think the ability to adopt is effected if they can't get married. Honestly, I know a few people that grew up with a gay parent and their partner, it puts a huge emotional strain from what I've seen. The kids are constantly trying to hide it because they are embarrassed so friends can't come over, they won't share things going on in their life and it takes a huge toll on them. God forbid anyone finding out then they are open to harassment or being physically tortured about it. The parents seem to make it worse because they are "proud" so try and shove it in everyone's faces. They've got hundreds of gay pride stickers..... I've never seen people flaunting the fact they were straight!

There are over 300 million people in the USA only a little over 100 million minorities. The highest group of minorities is Hispanics followed by Blacks. Thats what I like about you N8 you never let facts get in the way of your posts.

This election was a scandle from the start, thats why the dumbest rep. ran for office.Lets be real Obama aint the sharpest tool in the shed eather um um um um um well um um well. There where way better candidates for the position, why did they back out? want a clue "scandle".

Are you serious....He is not the smartest? Dude do you know his educational pedigree?

quote:
After graduating high school from Punahou School in Hawaii, Barack Obama attended Occidental College for two years, then got his B.A. from Columbia University. He later got his law degree from Harvard Law School (where he became the Harvard Law Review's first black president), graduating magna cum laude. Obama was also a lecturer of constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.
I would say that makes second best to no one in terms of education.

Lets compare the other side of the coin.

quote:
Bush, as a child, was not accepted for admission by St. John's School in Houston, Texas, a prestigious private school.[14] Instead, he attended The Kinkaid School, the private school from which St. John's had broken away.[14][15]

Bush attended Phillips Academy, an all-boys private high school in Andover, Massachusetts, where he played baseball and during his senior year was the head cheerleader.[16][17] Following in his father's footsteps, Bush attended Yale University from 1964 to 1968, receiving a Bachelor's degree in history in 1968.[18] As a college senior, Bush became a member of the secretive Skull and Bones society. By his own characterization, he was an average student.[19]

In 1970, Bush applied to but was not accepted into the University of Texas School of Law.[20] Beginning in the Fall of 1973, Bush attended Harvard University, where he earned a MBA.[21]

no mention of magna cum laude or anything prestigious.

now lets compare further.

quote:

Decorated war hero, not much mention of education. But my point is Obama is very smart, very articulate. Probably as educated as any president we have ever had.

You know what sound clip I really love hearing is the "minority" women saying "Atleast I don't have to worry about paying for gas in my car or Paying my mortgage."

I laugh so hard everytime I hear that lady. It is unbelieveable how many people can't work for there own things. They want hand outs from everybody and think everybody owes them something.I know I am not that old(25yrs)but some of my generation and others younger then me will vote Left wing over and over again. Most for only one reason and that is for the hand outs. I mean it is smart of the dems to play that card. It is easy to say we will spend for this and give this aways just to get into power. For the most part the younger generations don't know how to work. I think partialy it is because we put too much emphasis on going to college and being educated, which isn't totally bad. But it never teachs these kids how to earn a living by hard work. Not just recieveing stuff just cause they are in America. It's very sad.

I hate hearing people always asking what the president is going to do to directly effect them or what the government is gona give them. There is only a few things the government should give you, one of them isn't health care and pay for everything. This is the land of opportunity and it is just sad that people feel that they shouldn't have to work hard to earn that opportunity.

I would like to know how people that voted for obama really feel about "spreading the wealth?"

Also would like to know what they are doing know to help THEMSELVES succede and ever think they would find themsleves in the 250K+ range. How would they then feel about "spreading the wealth?"

All I know is when I had my old bussiness and it was small one I was doing about 400k a year. A bump in the taxes would have hit me so damn hard. It would have taken all my inventory building money away. I don't see how Obama or supporters like N8 think it wouldn't hurt.

1990 just so know voting for somebody cause they are black or white. Or not voting for them cause they are black or white, is about the stupidest thing you could ever do. You would be better off not voting at all cause all you are doing is throwing your meaningful vote away. I don't care if you voted for obama or mccain, bush or kerry/gore, I think a person with any common sense could see it any other way and not agree with me anymore. I think for a black person to vote for Obama cause he is black is just as racist as not voting for him cause he is black. Just ignorant!

I hope my little rants make some sense to some of you wether you agree or not.

I am currently a business owner and while and I do make 6 figures (not 250k) I have no problem with the tax hike were it to hit me. Because I have a stable business model. So, while I can see how it would rub some the wrong way. A smart business owner or 250k money earner would adapt. I know plenty of people that are swimming in the cash we are speaking of. And none of them are tripping on the proposed tax hike. Well they do discuss it, but it is in the same breath as how to adapt. Just like when they raised my building prop tax. I adjusted. Like when my home prop tax goes up. I adjust. I am now trying to provide benefits for my employees, so Obama's plan made a lot of sense to me. So the things you speak of I am on it. And anyone making that kind of bread will know how to adjust. They will complain, but they will adjust. Like I said, I can see how the mention of taxes and increase in the same sentence can get people going. But notice the people it is really affecting are for the most part quiet? It is not by accident.

As a business owner how do you adjust? You pass the extra cost on to the customers. People think because he won't raise taxes for anyone under 250K its still going to effect us by higher prices for stuff we buy because the extra tax money paid by a company is going to trickle down. Look at how fuel prices effected shipping costs. They raise the prices then tack on fuel surcharges, we pay the extra costs for them. You may adjust when life throws a curve ball at you but not everyone can, some people are barely getting by and rising costs of every day needs will eventually make their life worse.

Actually the race in georgia was very close, and not to mention obama won north carolina and virginia(Richmond, VA was the capital of the confederacy was during the civil war) which are very much a part of the "old south." But my statement is just as yours was, a guess... although i'd like to call it an educated one [Razz]

i just do not get how denying rights to people is going to protect our children.

I agree with you 100% on this one N8.

I do not want my future children to have to be indoctrinated with the gay/lesbian agenda in public schools.

and there is nothing else gained from giving gays the right to marry besides a marriage license. They already have exactly the same rights as married couples.

I would have to agree with you there. If for every 1 person that voted for him because of race 5 people voted the other way you would have McCain as your new pres. BTW there are not more monorities than whites in this country
There are over 300 million people in the USA only a little over 100 million minorities. The highest group of minorities is Hispanics followed by Blacks. Thats what I like about you N8 you never let facts get in the way of your posts.

There you go being simple minded. Minorities include women smart guy.
lol not in the way we are talking and you know it "smart guy". I love it you are dead wrong about something and then you make new shit up lol. So a white women is now a minority?

the true N8 is now showing up I can never be wrong and if I am I will change my story.

No were in the USA is a "women" listed as a minority during a election...don't lie prove it. I am debating with a pathological liar great lol...

You know what I stand corrected, the data I was using was taken out of context by myself. But as far as being a liar, you are being just plain thick. And with you it is really never a debate. It is me informing you for the most part. You are probably by far one of the more ignoramic members we have. But despite all the attempts at verbal jabs I maintain my calm and rarely disrespect folks. And the thing is. Everything I say I can/will say in live talk, that is what makes a debate. Not throwing insults and wild conjecture. But this has gotten so overwhelmed of a conversation that folks are taking the words to heart. At the end of the day, my opinion is mine and yours is yours. But I know one thing. My opinion was with the winning candidate. And yours was with Bush 2x's and the losing candidate. So let's measure those cumulatively.

Dont forget you are the same gentleman that said "you dont understand what race has to do with it and why black people are proud". Then turned around and said. "It would be a huge failure for black people". So if they should not be proud he is black. Then why would they share the failure? See I read into words and while this is the internet and things can be taken out of context but.... That seems a very racist sentiment. Don't share in the spoils but share in the pain? Not saying you are that. But just saying how one could take that contradiction ina different light.

Anyway I am done with this topic. I am going to listen to the dozen or so PM's I got advising me not to debate with you guys on this (some thanking me for debating this).

Off to play Gears of War......GeneralfatSacks is the screen name. We can take out our political frustrations there. [patriot]

I think if Obama royal messes up it could hurt the blacks. I tell you what, if he messes up big it would be a very very long time till another would be elected. I think it would put a sour taste with a lot of people that voted for him and might hurt the next black canidate.

And N8 that is pretty stupid to say "My opinion was with the winning candidate." Cause My opinion was with Bush for two terms/wins, and it will be with another republican canidate in 4 years as well. Just a really lame comment

As far as adapting yeah a smart business owner isn't going to make less money, I know I wouldn't. I would just raise my prices with everyone else and continue to make the same profit margin, simple as that.

How do you feel about "spreading the wealth?"
Do you not see the socialistic veiw in that?

The simple fact is that if anything goes wrong they'll just blame Bush for it. If we pulled out of Iraq too early, didn't finish the job and something bad happens it would be blamed on Bush by saying we shouldn't have been there in the first place. When the economy doesn't make the huge upswing like people expect it to its going to be Bush's fault. Don't get me wrong, I know he didn't do things right but to sit back and blame him for everything wrong in the world is retarded.

Its interesting to see that you feel if Obama messes up it will hurt the next black candidate but when a white man has messed up we still vote another one in!! So my point is why does the next black guy have to take the slack of a black guy before him?? It sounds like thats racist ass hell (Not saying you are) But your so correct in what you said but its ashamed it has 2 be like that!! Why do blacks have to be judged on their skin but not by their results?? Bush is white & we all can agree that he messed up but McCain is white & a few of you still voted for him but if Obama messes up then alot of you will not vote for another Black guy for a long time!!!

there you go N8 making shit up again. [Roll Eyes] you were throwing stuff out there you made up, I called you on it you change your story...

48% of the people out there voted for the looser lol. I have said from the beggining I hope Obama does a good job. I never said I didn't understand why black people were proud. I got tired of hearing Obama is great because he is black. I just said it is a good thing for Obama that most white people didn't vote there race...even the minority White male voter's

since you classified everybody else and all females in the USA as minorities , I guess they wouldn't be a minority then would they dip shit...

btw I hope you people on here are not ignorant enough to believe that everything that is going on in the USA is George Bushes fault. if you do that is very sad....and you do not understand how politics work.

I know it wouldn't matter to me, but it would to a lot of people. You are right it would be messed up wether you like obama or not. It is very racist. The thing is Obama being the first black president is setting the standard for the future. Even though I don't think it is right, dem or GOP, he needs to set the bar high for the black community to not look bad. It is a double standard but I just think thats what it probably will be like. I think the same thing would happen if it was a women, mexican or some other minority.

I've never seen people flaunting the fact they were straight!
wtf they want the responsibility of a child, and the unstable mind set of a homosexual come on. Gay people go threw so much crap just being gay, they make them selfs out casts but want to be part of society and have all the perks of a strait family. that s$#t dont fly with me, and kids in grade school are so confused already how are they gunna throw in how its ok to be gay. ok n8, so you want some proof your vote is gunna f@#k us, here you go. your lame attempts to clown people on this thread is getting old, so now i would like to see you come back on the truth!!

A little over one year ago

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;

2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $4.10 a gallon;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);

5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;

6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

7) Food prices skyrocketing over 30% in 1 year.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember, it is Congress that makes the laws and spends our money - not the President.

He has to work with what's handed to him.

Part 2

Taxes...Whether Democrat or a Republican you will find these statistics enlightening and amazing.

www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML

Taxes under CLINTON-1999 Taxes under BUSH-2008

Single earning: Single earning:

30K - taxed- $ 8,400 30K - taxed $ 4,500

50K - taxed $ 14,000 50K - taxed $ 12,500

75K - taxed $ 23,250 75K - taxed $ 18,750

Married earning: Married earning:

60K - taxed $ 16,800 60K - taxed $ 9,000

75K - taxed $ 21,000 75K - taxed $ 18,750

125K - taxed $ 38,750 125K - taxed $ 31,250

Barack Obama promises to return to the higher tax rates if elected. It is amazing how many people who fall into the categories above think Bush is hurting them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.

If elected, Barack Obama has already promised that he will repeal the Bush tax cuts, and amazingly, a good portion of the people who fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen.

I also just saw Obama is going to reverse the decision to drill for oil in Utah. These types of setbacks keep us dependent on foreign oil..... a lot of people know we have a ton of oil here but they won't let us drill for it. They want us to cut or dependency on oil by keeping it too expensive forcing people like us to pay way more to drive our cars. This shit pisses me off to no end.... I agree totally with you N8, who cares what they do. They do have almost all the same rights as a married couple but I think the ability to adopt is effected if they can't get married. oh and n8 my bad all i saw was that post b4, but no ones tryin to clown. Everything i have said in the past was on point, prove me wrong. Only the first part of that post was directed at you i didnt say you voted for g.b., you know im right about electoral vote that crap is bs.

Since Democats took over USA went to hell?! [Roll Eyes]

Did you know that the President (Bush) controlled the White House and BOTH Houses of Congress for six of the last 7 and a half years?

Anyone with common sense that has been reading politics or watching CNN for the past 8 years know who brought harm to our economy.

Lets be smart and realise what the Bush Administration has done to the United States and to the WORLD.

Of course, the Democrats have their fair share to blame (Coal, Coastal Drilling, Nuclear Power etc etc) but lets be smart not a retard by saying the Democrats caused everything.

I can go all over the internet and copy and paste a bunch of articles with facts on "Bush to blame on economy, Republicans to blame, STATS on Bushs administration failure" etc etc

Hell, heres one for
Times poll: 75% blame Bush’s policies for deterioriating economy

But overall, the fact real hardcore fact it, everyone is tired of the bush administration running the country, nothing but hell, right after election, the sept 11th and so forth.. List is there...

Americans voted for Obama.. Obama lterally RAPED McCain in the results, thats enough FACT that EVERYONE is tired of the same past 8 years of hell.

Back to you Ron (Fr5.0), you say this election was a scandal, how so? Any links or resource?

But Obama is here, lets see what happens right? I already see guys jumping on Obama about he will do this and do that and going to mess up the USA but dammit, he takes over 1.20.09!! BUSH IS STILL IN CHARGE!!

Overall, let the man do his job and make that CHANGE USA wants and the change he has promised us.

Go Obama!

No matter what anyone says its still a fact that he's fucking us even before getting into office. No one's going to change the country being run by oil, without it we come to a standstill. Denying us domestic drilling he's deepening our dependency on foreign oil. I've never seen an electric big rig.... how much stuff you gonna haul in the back of a Prius?

Let me ask you this,

When did the Democrats took over the congress? November 06 correct?

Here are some FACTS :

Famly Debt Was Rising: By September 2006, household debt rose to an unprecedented 130.9% of disposable income. From March 2001 to September 2006, personal debt relative to disposable income grew each quarter by 1.6 percentage points—almost five times faster than in the 1990s. In the second quarter of 2006, families had to spend 14.4% of their disposable income to service their debt—the largest share since 1980.

The Housing Market Had Slowed: The supply of homes for sale each month averaged 6.9 months of supply for the six months ending in October 2006—the largest supply since 1991.

Savings Had Plummeted: The personal saving rate of -1.3% in the third quarter of 2006 marked the sixth quarter in a row with a negative personal saving rate

Source :

McCain Tries To Blame Financial Crisis On Democratic Takeover Of Congress In 2007

Heres more FACTS as of December 06 (month after Democrats took over, common sense, the ECONOMY was FAILING WELL BEFORE Democrats took over)

1. Low wage growth. Factoring in inflation, hourly wages were 2.8% higher and weekly wages were 2.3% higher in October 2006 than in March 2001. As a share of the economy, all wages and salaries fell to historic lows in the third quarter of 2006.

2. Benefits disappear. The share of private sector workers with pensions dropped to 45%, the last year data are available, from 50.3% in 2000, and the share of people with employer-provided health insurance dropped to 59.5% from 63.6% over the same period.

3. Family debt is on the rise. By September 2006, household debt rose to an unprecedented 130.9% of disposable income. From March 2001 to September 2006, personal debt relative to disposable income grew each quarter by 1.6 percentage points—almost five times faster than in the 1990s. In the second quarter of 2006, families had to spend 14.4% of their disposable income to service their debt—the largest share since 1980.

4. Housing market slows. The supply of homes for sale each month averaged 6.9 months of supply for the six months ending in October 2006—the largest supply since 1991.

5. Savings plummet. The personal saving rate of -1.3% in the third quarter of 2006 marked the sixth quarter in a row with a negative personal saving rate.

6. Job growth is the weakest for any business cycle. Despite the 2003 tax cut, job growth averaged only 1.3% since then—the lowest growth increase than any recovery of the same length. Monthly job growth since March 2001 has averaged an annualized 0.5%.

7. The unemployment rate overstates the strength of the labor market. Since the employed share of the population has remained low, millions of workers have given up looking for jobs. If the employed share of the population had not dropped since March 2001, there would be 2.2 million more jobs, or the unemployment rate would be 5.9%.

8. The poverty rate climbed to 12.6% in 2005, the last year data are available, from 11.3% in 2000.

9. Government deficits remain large. For 2006, the expected deficit is $260 billion, reflecting the largest six-year deterioration in 50 years, from a surplus of 2.0 percent of GDP in 2000 to a deficit of 2.4 percent of GDP in 2006.

10. These deficits won’t shrink. Making the tax cuts permanent and introducing relief from the Alternative Minimum Tax would bring the deficits to $3.5 trillion for the next decade, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. In this scenario, the deficits will never dip below $284 billion, even if the costs of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan decline.

11. This endangers our economic independence. Foreign investors bought 78% of new Treasury debt and the share of U.S. foreign-held debt grew to 45% from 32% from March 2001 to September 2006. Quarterly interest payments from the federal government to foreign lenders grew to $36 billion in June 2006 from $21 billion in March 2001.

A lot of the democrats proposals ended up being a republician filabuster. And in some cases, even when it got through, President Bush veto'd the bills and they didn't have the vote to overturn it.

Like i said, Democrats have their share to blame (Not investigating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) BUT Who supported Fannie Mae? Mr Bush Himself.

For anybody who may have thought Obamers an arab, it probably couldnt be further from the truth. He just hired the biggest jew as his chief of staff. We're probably headed directly into Iran next, Pakistan for sure. I believe Obamer can thank his far left brothers for getting him in there, but i believe we're gonna have to let him show us what he's really about. And so far his first decision is to hire a guy with deep ties to Israel. Maybe he'll give Israel the green light to blast Iran off the map, i think we've waited to long for that. At least North Korea has become to come around, and if Iran's not with the program we should give Israel our support to bomb these idiots.

oh and n8 my bad all i saw was that post b4, but no ones tryin to clown. Everything i have said in the past was on point, prove me wrong. Only the first part of that post was directed at you i didnt say you voted for g.b., you know im right about electoral vote that crap is bs.

In 1970, Bush applied to but was not accepted into the University of Texas School of Law.[20] Beginning in the Fall of 1973, Bush attended Harvard University, where he earned a MBA.[21]

no mention of magna cum laude or anything prestigious.

now lets compare further.

ok n8, so you want some proof your vote is gunna f@#k us, here you go. your lame attempts to clown people on this thread is getting old, so now i would like to see you come back on the truth!!

A little over one year ago

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;

2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $4.10 a gallon;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);

5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;

<a href="http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML</a>

Taxes under CLINTON-1999 Taxes under BUSH-2008

Single earning: Single earning:

30K - taxed- $ 8,400 30K - taxed $ 4,500

50K - taxed $ 14,000 50K - taxed $ 12,500

75K - taxed $ 23,250 75K - taxed $ 18,750

Married earning: Married earning:

75K - taxed $ 21,000 75K - taxed $ 18,750

125K - taxed $ 38,750 125K - taxed $ 31,250

Barack Obama promises to return to the higher tax rates if elected. It is amazing how many people who fall into the categories above think Bush is hurting them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.

If elected, Barack Obama has already promised that he will repeal the Bush tax cuts, and amazingly, a good portion of the people who fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen.

Go Obama!

Im so tired of the lame attempts to try and confuse people on this forum. ALSTOCK, i cant change the facts so dont try and change the point of focus (just like a dem.). Im sure since I posted a tone of facts how bush (republicans) has made good and wonderfull changes since the last dem. was in office, youre not going to be able to "copy and paste a bunch of articles with facts on "Bush to blame on economy, Republicans to blame, STATS on Bushs administration failure etc etc". im not going to go on a speel of how you dont know what youre talking about, because youre never going to stop arguing about facts. The real question everyone wants to know is what changes do you want with Obama in office.....wait dont answer yet, scroll back up and read the facts again. ok now show us all how ignorant you can make your self sound

At least North Korea has become to come around, and if Iran's not with the program we should give Israel our support to bomb these idiots.

Israel could protect them selfs from america if it came to that. People are so blind, Israel would devastate Iran. They dont need our help and we dont need the problems from trying to help!

I agree totally with you N8, who cares what they do. They do have almost all the same rights as a married couple but I think the ability to adopt is effected if they can't get married. Fr5.0,

Change the point of the focus?

The point of this thread was Obama correct? You FIRST posted on this thread saying "this election is a scandal" with NO FACTS whatsoever, same as just talking out your ass. You haven't pointed out your facts or where you're sources reside.

2nd, then you stated that Obama QUOTE "isn't the charpest tool in the shed", N8 gave you PLENTY of sources of Obama's background, MUCH higher then McCains educational background. How is he NOT the sharpest tool when clearly he took the votes like no other in history.

Then your post with those links, ok cool, those are stats on the past years of our economy, you may want to look at my replies also with those stats on who was REALLY running the show.

But we will see what changes come in the near future.. Im sure millions are waiting, im sure Cafords will be around till then, then we can argue all Sunday long on what changes came and what didnt.

ok n8, so you want some proof your vote is gunna f@#k us, here you go. your lame attempts to clown people on this thread is getting old, so now i would like to see you come back on the truth!!

A little over one year ago

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;

2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $4.10 a gallon;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);

5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;

<a href="http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML</a>

Taxes under CLINTON-1999 Taxes under BUSH-2008

Single earning: Single earning:

30K - taxed- $ 8,400 30K - taxed $ 4,500

50K - taxed $ 14,000 50K - taxed $ 12,500

75K - taxed $ 23,250 75K - taxed $ 18,750

75K - taxed $ 21,000 75K - taxed $ 18,750

125K - taxed $ 38,750 125K - taxed $ 31,250

Barack Obama promises to return to the higher tax rates if elected. It is amazing how many people who fall into the categories above think Bush is hurting them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.

If elected, Barack Obama has already promised that he will repeal the Bush tax cuts, and amazingly, a good portion of the people who fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen.

Overall, let the man do his job and make that CHANGE USA wants and the change he has promised us.

Im sure millions are waiting, im sure Cafords will be around till then, then we can argue all Sunday long on what changes came and what didnt.

i dont think you or anyone else is ever gunna answer the question, so ya you keep trying to Change the point of the focus. The fact that I copy and paste facts and all you have to say is "nice c&p" shows you are trying to Change the point of the focus. Let me try and ask easer questions that you should be able to answer ****what changes do you want Obama to make**** BEFOR YOU ANSWER SCROLL UP AND REREAD THE FACTS.

ok n8, so you want some proof your vote is gunna f@#k us, here you go. your lame attempts to clown people on this thread is getting old, so now i would like to see you come back on the truth!!

A little over one year ago

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;

2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $4.10 a gallon;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);

5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;

<a href="http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.HTML</a>

Taxes under CLINTON-1999 Taxes under BUSH-2008

Single earning: Single earning:

30K - taxed- $ 8,400 30K - taxed $ 4,500

50K - taxed $ 14,000 50K - taxed $ 12,500

75K - taxed $ 23,250 75K - taxed $ 18,750

Married earning: Married earning:

Im sure millions are waiting, im sure Cafords will be around till then, then we can argue all Sunday long on what changes came and what didnt.

i dont think you or anyone else is ever gunna answer the question, so ya you keep trying to Change the point of the focus.
Thats a very easy questin, wait i just asked that one and you couldnt answer. CAN SOMEONE HELP HIM!!!! dont forget to scroll up befor you answer!!

http://www.barackobama.com/issues/

Those changes ^ - Im not going to go deep into what changes i want, but reading some of my recent posts are directed towards the Middle East (War On Iraq), Scamming a$$ Bush admin bullsh!tting on WMD's, pull the truth out! Our Troops, other countries then our own homeland.. Economy (jobs, housing, health care) but the list would go on.

You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much? It is estimated that the Iraq war is approximately 4% of the total federal budget.
thats why i told you to reread the facts up above. so the truth is that Obama cant change the economy by ending the war so you voted for a retard for no reason. i dont see the change he says we need, any other changes you want me to elaborate on?
