So I've pushed my stock shortblock as far a im willling to take it. It made 478hp 427ftlb with a s-trim, patriot heads and stage2 cams, and ran a best of 10.81 @ 126.9. Im super happy with what my 2v has done but i know i can go further with a forged bottom end.
Now I dont have all kinds of money for a brand new built sb, which is why i went with a termi build. And it helps to have a friend who is selling a cobra shortblock and is willing to take payments. lol The major changes in this build will be the shortblock, long tubes, ported professional products intake, and a si trim upgrade. The s-trim was making about 12psi @7k and i hope to be around 16-18psi with the new blower.
So far I have the engine on a stand, and im tearing down my current setup. I should have the heads off tomorrow and start assembly this weekend. It might take some time but ill update with pics and info as i go along. Enjoy!!! cobra sb

Thanks guys! Here is today's progress, finished the porting on the intake and installed the new cobra oil pump. Might do some more work on the runners to smooth them out a bit, but we'll see.
as you can see its more of a gasket match then a full port job, but it helps!

Made a little progress today. Laid some paint down on the timing cover and intake. They look good in the pics but up close kinda looks like poop.lol No one is ever really gonna see it so its good enough for me I had a balancer crap out on me which caused the damage to the cover. But with the replacement balancer on you cant even see it.

lol, theres no way youll get away running that many lbs of boost without slipping but you can try..Who knows, maybe youll get lucky.. If you want to keep it 6rib atleast look into a Innovators west overdrive balancer to help you achieve those boost levels without spinning the blower much harder.. Nice build, i follow you on Youtube also..Im sure well run into eachother at the track here shortly

Thats actually what i was planning on doing, running a OD crank pulley and maybe a 3.3 and see where that puts me.

there ya go. Thats my configuration as well. Should be good for 15-17lbs. might be less with your topend.

A 10% od crank pulley with a 3.3 pulley should put you around 13-14psi.

revving to 7k rpm's like he does, it should be more than 13-14 psi.. every car is different though. I know on most 4v setups ive seen 10% OD and 3.33 or 3.4" upper is around 15 lbs [ 2014-03-07, 04:01 PM: Message edited by: Vndcatr ]
