Topic: Official Oakland Raiders 16-17 season thread: 12-3 Carr out McGloin IN

***Week 16***
Derek Carr suffered a broken fibula in the win over the Colts this weekend. The injury has sidelined Carr for the remainder of the season but this team is nowhere near out of it. The Raiders have the 2nd best O-Line in the NFL, 3 incredible running backs, elite receivers and a top 10 defense (over the last 9 weeks). The team will travel to Denver for the final match up of the regular season and they will get a WIN to clinch the AFC west and at LEAST the #2 seed in the AFC. giving them a bye week and a home playoff game in the process. The season isn't over, the game plan has simply changed. DC is definitely the heart of this team but do you think for a second he's gonna tell his team "hey I'm out so y'all just go ahead and give up." ??? Not a chance. As much as I hate on McGloin...he's gonna HAVE to step up, he has no other option. Everyone on the team needs to step up and FAST. Start catching the damn ball. It's not over until it's over. We don't know how we'll look until next week vs Denver. We can lock up a division title and have a bye giving us an extra week to rest up and prepare. We're good we've been overcoming and proving to be the truth all damn season. We're in too deep to give up.
***Week 15***
I flew down to SD to be at this game. No way I could miss the Raiders potentially clinch a playoff spot for the 1st time in 13.9 years. The stadium was EASILY 85% Raiders fans and it was amazing. We're now sitting at 11-3 and are playoff bound!
***Week 14***
KC has our number. I could complain about all the factors that went into this game but at the end of the day, we lost. the offense let the team down for the 1st time this season while the defense went OFF! but that's ok. last time KC beat us, we won 6 in a row....let's just do that again...

29-0 scoring run to slide past the Bills. this offense is unstopppppable.

HUGE scare for the Nation when Derek Carr's finger fell off lol. This Raiders team is LEGIT.

***Week 11***
An UGLY win against the Texans in Mexico City.
8-2 and the NUMBER ONE SEED in the AFC.
we're doing well, keep it up.

7-2 going into the BYE and 1st place in the AFC West.
***week 8***
Raiders 6-2 as of right now and Denver is coming into town, this is going to be probably the most important game they've played since 2002. Denver is INSANE on the defensive side of the ball, but their offense is average. Derek Carr is going to have to play lights out once again. This will be Latavius Murray's breakout game as well as Clive Walford.
DEREK CARR IS THE TRUTH. we need work at every position, but the Raiders are most certainly BACK!

Pryor looked legit in week one, time will tell though. I can say that I was VERY surprised at how we play against the Colts and almost left Indy with a win. Time to build on that and keep getting better!
It seems like our D is starting to gel out there which is good. I know it was against the Jags but we allowed like 35 yards rushing yesterday. McFadden found 20+ yd runs 4 times and rushed for about 130...without that fumble he would've been closer to 160. Oakland is 11-2 when he rushes for 100+ but we need to go to FUCKING WORK in the red zone. It's pitiful and Manning is going to score a lot, we wont do shit if that red zone offense doesn't improve. And Pryor looked like he was supposed to, the plan was to keep him in the pocket and that's mostly what he did. He needs to make his reads faster and work on accuracy asap. Sloppy game, but I'll take the W!
Denver is Denver. Oh and Manning is a machine. We let them can the most yards this season but held them to the least amount of points so far, also lost with the closest margin AT mile-high. We left 14 points on the field in the red zone and 3 potentially off a jano FG they didn't let him try. McFadden is garbage running through the line, he needs space to go to work, Pryor looked good again. No turnovers for Oakland and two forced fumbles caused by Oakland. Still a loss though.
The game Vs the 'Skins was a fluke. Flynn is GARBAGE, period. If TP2 was playing, we would've won. That is all.
Man oh Man, late night rivalry. The Raiders are playing with noting but WINNING on their minds, this is a team of misfits and patchwork but the coaches have brought out the best in EVERYONE (except Flynn, hence why he was cut) we shut out SD the 1st half, and it was beautiful. We have to work on this running game ASAP and work on closing out games better. Woodson is the MAN, Hayden got his 1st int, SP is ballin' and TP2 continues to impress. Now it's time to show that we are better than our record shows and KC is worse than theirs.
welp, week 6 is in the books and KC shitted on us. One of the top 3 front 7s in the league Vs a depleted O-line equals 10 sacks lol. Thank the lord for the bye week, it couldn't come at a better time for us. hopefully we can get healthy over these next two weeks, Pittsburgh seems to be waking up a little bit now.
Week 8 in the books and the Raiders are putting in work and coming to PLAY. our defense continues to improve weekly and so does out offense...in the 1st half 0_o idk why the coaches are so conservative after the half but it pisses me off! if we weren't up 18, we would've lost that game. Pryor broke 2 records in ONE play...longest run in Raiders' history and longest run by a quarterback in NFL history. WORK WORK WORK WORK!!! just win baby! That was our 1st win after the bye in like 234234 seasons lol, it feels good to put a stop to all the BS and people are starting to realize we aren't the Raiders of the past decade. We're about to make some damb noise!
Week 9 was sickening, and inexcusable. There is literally nothing I can say that was a positive from this game. Darren McFadden is done in Oakland, Pryor is regressing, and idk wtf our defense was doing. I honestly think they came into this game without practicing during the week thinking they could just roll over Philly. WRONG! There is no defending that display.

not a raider fan but it's going to be a tough year for the them. I still don't think Terrel Pryor is the answer long term. Hopefully for the raiders sake they can draft a franchise QB like Teddy Bridgewater or the QB from UCLA.

Not a Raiders fan but I'll say that your new management is attempting to turn the organization around for the better. I wouldn't expect them to win more then 6 games this year....... But I believe they are going to have a lot more cap space to sign guys in the future. Al Davis spent a lot of money over the years...... Overpaying I might add on players that haven't worked out for your guys team. ( Not even gonna name any )
Good luck to you guys in the future. For all the loyal non retarded Raider fans, keep your heads up cause its gonna be a bumpy road for a while.
