I've got a lot more weapons than that and I'll never give them up, I don't care what the law is. You don't need a gun to hurt people, there are a lot more weapons you could use. So after guns get outlawed what's next? Knives? Bats? Vehicles?

The problem is, it is way too easy for people to get their hands on guns. I own guns, hunting guns, guns that are way more powerful and accurate than assault weapons but that are in no way designed to work in close quarters. Will banning assault weapons end these types of incidents, probably not, the Maryland dudes did a lot of damage with a bolt action rifle. But, the majority of these incidents are carried out with assault weapons, it would mean much fewer of these incidents.

Now reports are saying one shooter was 18 and the other is 20, they had pistols but couldn't legally purchase them. So they obviously obtained these guns illegally.
SF Coupe- You're right, I frequent ranges too and the number of morons that handle these weapons swinging them around unaware of their surroundings just boggles my mind. Guns are easy to purchase legally but they start to get strict with that and it'll be extremely hard for a normal person to get one.
