You can bump the timing up, it should currently be at 10btc. You can put it at around 12btc without any problems. Make sure you remove the spout connector.
If the have the stock air box assembly their will be a big plastic box inside the passenger side fender towards the front of the car. It looks like a liver. You can remove this and get more air to your motor.
I would just do a basic tune up as well with plugs gapped at .054, 9mm or bigger plug wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter. This isn't free but chances are your car needs it. [ September 25, 2003, 04:32 PM: Message edited by: 91sleeper ]

Your now at the stage of weight reduction. You should see the things that I do to save weight.
Hey you can run a short belt at the track and also ice your intake if you don't already do that.

If you do pull the sway bar don't go taking turns with any good amount of speed. I have removed myne before and it was quite heavy. But I would only reccomend pulling it off at the track. Shortbelts work really well. You could probably yank the belt completley and run all the way down the track without any problems. As long as you have an elec. fan. What mustang do you have? Is it a coupe, lx, or gt? After I know that I will be able to give you some better weight saving tips.

I would set them as high as possible in the front and for the rear you just need to find a good pressure for that days track conditions ect.
In My GT I removed the fog lights and the whole assembly bar and brakets. I also deleted my AC which shaved some weight. All my sound deadning material is stripped out and I never run winshield wipers(I think foxs look better without them), I also removed the nossle and the resvoir for the winshield washer fluid since I had no need for that. The whole trunk of my car is stripped down to the metal and obviousley i don't have my spare or anything else of that nature. My car is still heavy though because I have an AOD and I also have 17's.

Rob, I would avoid giving info like that man. I could see that getting twisted real easily into something that costs you a hell of a lot

Blue Oval: Defnatley take out the whole entire fog light assembly with the brackets. The brackets are worth taking out they are pretty heavy, as well as the aluminum bar that gos across the front bumper that the brackets are attached to.
