so i ran the notch yesterday at sac just to see if it really had power since i just got the car about a month n a half ago. well the power was there but the traction wasn't, even when we lowered the tire pressure. i definitly need some slicks. i was kinda disapointed at that. i was also disapointed that i only got to run the car twice from 12:30 when i got there until my second and last run at about 4:30 just cuz they had about a million import cars(much love to the imports though, my other car is an integra) but they should've just did the illiminations for the rwd cars first since there was only a hand full. and plus, cars kept on breakin' down. well heres some pics. thanks to jsjbrothers.com

it only ran 15.1 and 15.3 just cuz it kept peelin' out 1st, 2nd,and 3rd gear I NEEEEEEEED SLICKS

Don't matter. As low as you are and that small of a side wall you will find it really hard to get a good launch and traction. If you don't plan on racing much more then for fun I wouldn't get slicks just get some drag radials, that way you don't break anything and you can put them on at the house and drive to the track.

slicks on a 15 second car???? ok....

try a drag radial first possibly...or get something better than "traction" bars....

wow should be a lot better than a 15 second timeslip! probably should do a quick tune up, drag radials, & more practice fosho!

don't listen to all these knuckleheads telling you that you need suspension.

You need slicks/DRs and some seat time.

You should shave over a second off your times with the above...

best of luck

Car has cams huh!! How many does a pushrod have LOL!! J/K man sounds like it has a good bit done to it.

Go as high as you can and back it off when it detonates. You should get to around 16 to 18 degrees before you hear anything on pump gas.

Really knuckleheads huh?? Do you race competively or just run on play days? Do you know anything about a car and how it reacts on the track? Guess not with that comment.

I agree he needs lots and lots of seat time. That's the only way to get better.
