Are you actually going to run your car this Sat? You just may serve up the coupe if an axle goes BOOM BITCH!
Does that mean that you are or are not going to bring your new 1993 Cobra to race?

I want to go, but have to work that night. So I'd have to be back in the Bay area at 10. Do most of the slower cars run early and the quick ones run closer to 10. I could probably stay till around 8. How many runs could I get in, in three hours??

Grudge is usually pretty packed. Plan on getting 2 or 3 runs.

Dude, Jermaine said she has never seen this many cars on a grudge night. neither have I.
By 7pm or later they still had people trying to tech. The were trying to make everyone stay in the pits till they called your cars # before you came to the staging lanes. It was total chaos. They estimate almost 300 cars or more. Some people I talked to said they sat in line outside the gates for over an hour to get in.
But once the sun went down and the DA dropped I got a new best for the C5 so I was happy.

I've gone to a few of the last grudge nights of the year...and I have to say its usually 95% 12-18 second mustangs, hondas, camaros, etc. with about 5% 7-11 cars. Did history repeat itself? [ October 26, 2003, 09:58 AM: Message edited by: Team SOLO ]

I waited 2 hours at the gates. Ran twice the whole night. Got into an argument with some of the track officials about the fact I had to wait to run again, yet watched several other cars run 4-5 times. Definately the last grudge night I'll be going to. Oh, my time was still a 12.4 but I did get a 1.7 60 foot. [ October 26, 2003, 11:29 AM: Message edited by: Fast472Mach1 ]

It was a big waste of time! For non street cars anyway. Managment needs to hire more than one tech person or not tech at all! Waiting for an hour for a women ONLY to ask how fast the car is and say, "ok thanks" is bullshit! It was very pointless and dangerous on there behalf. Oh well

We had a guy on a skateboard come by. He did'nt look inside nor open the hoods of any cars around me. He asked how fast I went. I said 12's and he asked if I had a helmet. Did'nt even look at the helmet. Somebody couldve been puking coolant or oil all over the place and they would've never noticed. If they can't deal with that many cars then they should hire more people or stop letting them in. They made plenty of money last night at the expense of a lot of us getting 2 runs in.
