I have to agree, I would put my money on the SS if your going from a roll. I would race him from stop that way your gears can do there work and get you in the front. I would still say the SS will catch up in the top end!

In your current state, the other guy has the more capable car. The LS1 will likely trap 2-3mph faster than your Cobra but the gap isn't that large that it can't be overcome with traction and good driving.
To close the power gap, a catback, short runner intake and a tune will do the trick and put you around 300rwhp

Car n driver did a comparison the ls1 has hard time off the line. But it trapped 3 mph faster and 25 hp isnt much more u make that up with your pullies and intake.
