It isn't running rich. Ignore that "11.2 A/F" window. That is a measurement of the richest point on the graph. For Dana's car that little rich spot only happens right went transitioning to WOT then quickly recovers to the mid 12's where it stays the rest of the pull.
Oh i see cool stuff.

Does your family make good Salsbury steak?
Nice numbers though man. Not sure how people think 500+ rear wheel is low. Seems like a lot to me. There's always some other combo that will be higher, but what your making now is a shit ton.
Always somebody faster, but very very few that are cleaner

possibly at the crank, not at the wheels...
you can't be 100% sure what it's making at the crank unless you yank the motor and put it on an engine dyno....
however, with that being said. 500+RW on motor is nothing to seize at and I bet it's super reliable and pretty can do a 7,000 mile round trip with no issues....

Isn't this motor brand new? i would expect those numbers to increase with some more break in, never the less good numbers, nothing pulls like a stroked big block.

Congrats, I'm sure best of all you gained fantastic drivability with the power. Wondering though, weren't you always told of much higher RWHP? I thought you'd sworn from the combo you were told of upwards of 600+ "RW" hp?

That's pretty awesome. My buddy has a '71 Camaro with a YSi supercharger on a 454 and makes 550rwhp. For an NA build, that's pretty respectable.

The guy that made my headers told me the motor would make 607hp. Hes big into big block Ford racing so he was pretty dead on. The guy that put the shortblock together told me it will handle 750+hp. I was hoping for over 600RWHP. That would have been cool.
Putting it in the garage this morning cause we got home late last night so i left it on the trailer it acted like it was easier to drive. I am actually gonna go cruise it right now so i'll let you guys know how she drives.

Congrats on the numbers Dana!!!
I can't believe people are thinking those numbers are low???
I don't know much about big blocks, but I know the Chevy 572 Crate motor is only rated at 620hp/650tq at the crank, that would equal out to about the same rwhp as your car. [ August 18, 2010, 08:25 PM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

they put jets in it, adjusted the idle air mixture, and the other screws on the side of the carb.

Shouldn't ever compare a crate motor to a matched combo. Crate motors are "the best available" by any means in most cases.
