I heard its nothing special but Obama is making a big deal out of it. Probably trying to win some votes for the people up this november. They should have been pulled out a long time ago like he promised.

I have an Uncle that's been in the military since he was 18, he is now in his late 40's. He's trained 10's of thousands of the troops that have served in both wars and have went to Iraq and desert storm himself.
Someone is always making comments about Obama this and Obama that. Obama said he wanted the troops out of Iraq in 16 months, it took 20. Repubs would prefer to stay there forever no matter how many troops we lose. We've spent over 1 trillion dollars and lost almost 5000 soldiers there. Do you really think the republicans care about our troops or do you think they care more about the money that comes along with war?

Tell the guys/gals who just left it's "nothing special". Something tells me you'd be really quiet if you were face to face with someone who was in country for 2+ tours. He promised they'd be out within two years. He delivered. Has nothing to do with votes. Yes, there are troops there for the transfer; it's not as easy as squirting water on a campfire and walking away from it.
AL STOCK- it would have been the same with McCain, they were on the same timeline.
