I started on a 93cbr 600 to learn. That lasted a couple month's then i got a 04 600. Can't go wrong with the newer 600's . Picked mines cause i thought it looked better than the others. Ride the 600 stock till you think you might want some more power then just mod it (full exhaust, k&n filter, map it) you'll be happy with that. Take your time on it learn the bike be safe!

I find that truly hard to believe. I know riders who been riding for years and even their dads who use to ride. Some claim "i never went down" - Either they are bullshitting or NEVER ride (low mileage).
This will become a debate but some people never admit they went down to gain others respect, i dont know why?

Ge a ZX14R and be done with it.
Your only as safe as your right hand.
250, 600, 1000, 1400 are all the same. If you feel you are not a safe person get a 250. If you have self control get something bigger. You will outgrow the 250 and 600.

After years of riding dirt bikes, 80, 125, 200, and 500 cc 2 and 4 strokes I got a 92zx7 that had been laid down. I didn't fix the plastic at first , just in case I dropped it. After I put some miles on it, I fixed it, sold it, and bought a used 95 zx7. After a couple years of riding that I sold it and bought a new 2001 R1. My wife learned how to ride on my R1 and then bought a 2002 R6. I love riding either bike, as they both have plenty of power to get down the road. I would rec. a motorcycle safety course to anyone getting a bike, and definately recommend a track day or two to hone your skills. I even enjoy taking mine to the dragstrip. Buy a bike that fits you, ride like noone sees you, and have fun.

I started off on a gxsr 600... It's all about respecting the bike and controlling yourself.. No matter what, there are two types of riders. Riders who have fallen and riders that are gonna fall... I have a daytona 675 and I love the it!
