I'll just go off the first car I actually purchased with my own cash at 18. It was a 1989 Honda Civic LX for $500 with like 275k miles. Sold it with 288k for $750 about 9 months later. Day after I sold it I bought my '86 hatch that I still have.

I really like Joe Walsh. " Life's been good to me so far." Is a great song. He also added a lot to the Eagles.
Dire Straits finally got into the Rock N Roll hall of fame. It took WAY too long. It's retarded that U2 was inducted before them.
Mark Knopler is one of the most underrated guitar players and doesn't get enough respect for his iconic guitar riffs. Same goes for Brian May from Queen.
Brian May built his guitar with his father as a teenager. There's a coffee table book about the building of it.
Stevie Ray Vaugn was better than Eric Clapton.
The drummer ( Drawing a blank on his name ) who recorded the drums for Michael Jackson's " Billie Jean " nailed the drums on the first take in the studio. MJ made his best music with Quincy Jones.
Rashida Jones ( The cute light skinned yellow cake actress ) is one of Quincy Jones daughters. Rashida's sister was dating 2pac and Rashida Jones didn't like him treating her sister like shit.
People are donating money to Kyle Jenner in an attempt to make her the youngest billionaire in the world. Klye is reported to be worth 900 million... That's about 400 million more than Jessica Alba's est net worth.
Mrs. Alba created and owns a large portion of the Honest Brand baby supplies. Jessica Alba had a hard time finding investors because nobody thought she could pull off creating her own brand of eco friendly, kid safe products for home use.
I had huge crush on a model named Josie Moran when I was younger. After I found a stray puppy, I named her Josie... She died early this year. She would have been 15 years old October of this year.
Hope that was random enough.

Yea mine was a 10yr old truck at the time too when I bought it.
I don’t know about all but I know some teenagers that don’t even want a 5 year old car nowadays much less a classic they want a new car. I remember my son asking me one time when he was 8 we was riding on my truck and he ask me that Why would I drive a car with no airbags? it’s dangerous!
lol

I’m not a realtor or nothing like that but hopefully you are looking into when to buy a house. Market will drop a pretty decent percentage don’t know exactly how much but it will in the next year or so
(it’s around that time) and it be perfect to invest in property for your first time. I bought mine in 09 when the market crash, not that I knew it was going to crash but I guess a lot of people had a gut feeling that economy was gana go down hill so some sold and some waited to buy because after 9/11 U.S Borrow so much money from the banks that couldn’t pay back after so somebody had to pay the banks back. Don’t rush because you have 100k. Do Research talk to anyone you know that owns properties I’m not saying someone that owns Few properties I’m taking bout investors that’s how I just decided to wait because I was going to buy Before, It was a gamble I guess maybe those people were wrong but I’m glad I waited. Don’t ask your realtor he just wants to sell.
Sorry to jump in on your guys conversation, It’s just my two cents.

Yeah it sucks. If I buy now, I will be buying high. Problem is ny wife and I want to have another child. We have no room in our current location for another child. Hopefully I can find a home in our price range AND luck out on the market going down a little. Found one that was over 600k... Its dropped down about 40k in 2 months. Hopefully its a sign that the FOMO buying is slowing down some.

I feel you, I was with my in laws for a minute too, the thing was that I even ended up selling my cobra just to gather more funds and I didn’t ended up buying till couple years later.
Not as the crash from back then But They will drop, it’s a cycle That’s how the system works.
wall street needs adjustments every decade or so to make corrections.

Couldn’t imagine it. I know I’d blow like 5-10 mill and invest the rest. I’d make sure generations after me in my family would be taken care of for a long time.

Is passing down a lot of money to the next generation a good idea? Doesn't it breed laziness and amplifies poor human behavior in those that did not justly earn their riches?

If I won I'd quit my job and buy all my dream cars in project form and spend all my days just working on them. Of course I will buy properties/house(s) and invest in maybe a franchise or something to keep income coming. Yes I would take the full amount right away and take your taxes off the bat.

Martina,
Financial status has nothing to do with how a childs future will turn out to be, it’s more the ignorance or laziness of the parents/parent to take the time and responsibility To educate and literally show there kids, teach them morals, principles values,be responsible, respectful, honest and humble.
If the Environment at home is Laziness and poor human behavior then that’s how that child will turn out regardless if they are wealthy or not.

Yup, and thats the reason I said I would go back to school and get my masters in business, finance & economics.
(Plus I’ve always had a interest in this type of trades) anyhow, I would want to Handle and run my own businesses and investments. I wouldn’t want to wake up one morning next to my hot & sexy famous actress model wife telling me I’m broke because someone fucked up.

Yeah I'd rather leave my kids with rentals and cashflow for generations... Then leave them with no money to burry my ass LOL.
Parenting has everything to do with how kids will turn out. My kids kids will be very well off, as long as they don't spend it all on dumb shit. Kinda why I am thinking about limiting how much can be taken out at anytime.

El Caballo ----------- you speak true words. Parents should raise their children to have orals, principles values,be responsible, respectful, honest and humble. A high standard for the average human. There is a reason the phrase spoiled rich kid exists. It is easy to be humble, respectful, responsible, honest when you are poor. The extremely wealthy have no incentive for any of these qualities. They can lie, disrespect people and be irresponsible with out substantial consequence. Why can't they? Who's going to do anything about it? Laws exist to protect the extremely wealthy and they don't have to follow the all the same laws you do. You speak true words for an equal and just society. Not the one you actually live in. Don't believe me? You can deal cocaine and get pardoned if your brother is The President. You try dealing cocaine and see if the courts will pardon you. I can post examples like this every day for the rest of your life.

There is a different kind of justice, a different set of rules for the rich and powerful than there is for everyone on this forum; you.
'If you look at the last decade in the United States, what you'll find is this extreme systemic leniency, really impunity for the most powerful people in this society at the same time you have complete, harsh and brutal punishment for those of us that are marginalized and powerless.
The most powerful factions in our society, the political and financial factions, have committed literally the most egregious crimes that exist. In the case of Wall Street, precipitating a world wide financial collapse that destroyed the economic security for literally billions of people based upon systemic fraud. Not a single one of those people responsible for any of those massive crimes have been held accountable in any way or any kind. (Banks have foreclosed on the homes of more than 10 millions Americans since 2007) (Nearly 9 millions Americans lost their jobs from the recession) In fact, these people have been aggressively protected by the very institutions that are charged with enforcing the law, beginning with the justice department and on down. (Elite bankers prosecuted for fraud: ZERO!)
By contrast, at the very same time you have a massive prison state. By far the largest in the world, in terms of number of prisoners and proportionality. (The United States has over 2.2 million people behind bars, the most in the world) Ordinary citizens, people who are powerless and marginalized, are imprisoned for longer periods of time, with less forgiveness, for more trivial transgressions than almost any country in the world. Certainly more than any country in the West. (Clarence Aaron: 3 consecutive life sentences for driving a car for drug dealers. It was his 1st offense) (Timothy Tyler: Life sentence for selling LSD to a police informant) (Stephanie George: Life sentence for having her boyfriend's lock-box of cocaine in her attic.) It's really the antithesis of what the rule of law was intended to preserve, which was we're all accountable by the same rules, regardless of our power, position or prestige. And that's what I mean by the two tiered justice system.'

Yea , I’m not a big fan of these hybrid projects. But those damn LS engines make a ton of power with only a cam + parts are cheap too, another words it’s afordable and reliable to hit the 500hp if you compare it to a Windsor where you might be breaking parts at 500hp, Ford parts are more expensive. That’s the reason I’m sure most of us here know it’s because the money part that they Decide to go with the LS.
On the other hand, the fox platform is the best layout lightest chassis for a stock suspension. mix these two together’ slap a LS engine with heads and cam on a fox body and you have a pretty challenging race car if money is an issue and you can’t aford to build a ford beast!
Ls on a ford body = cheating

For what it’s worth I run 275’s on a 9.5 wheel on one car and on another car I run 265’s on the same width wheel, being that you aren’t removing the quad shocks I think a 255 is definitely an option for you.

You should roll the fenders. It'll be cheaper than buying new tires after your unrolled fenders cut up your thin side walls. 255 could work. 245 is the safest.

I don't want to do anything to the car that I cant undo. I don't plan on modding this car at all besides just the wheels, cooling system(done), 3g alternator upgrade(done) and later rear disk brakes. Other than that I don't want to do anything to the car not even exhaust. I'm still on the fence on even doing an electric fan upgrade. If you guys seen my car in person you'd understand why I want to keep it stock.

Would 255's look flush to the rim? I don't like the stretched look so I'll run the widest tire I can without modifications.

How's their pricing? I got a quote from some other spot in San Jose and they wanted to charge me $40 extra dollars each wheel because its a "special color."

Pricing I guess it depend what your looking for. me personally I believe you get what you pay for. I think it was fair for powdering my stuff and Cost was $475 per rim for a Cerakote Satin finish.. wheels we’re 26x16 tho, you should contact Robert just to get a quote if this seams fair to you I don’t know how much of a difference a smaller diameter rim would be

I won 1,100 dollars at Graton in 15 mins. Walked in there to take a piss and wash my hands. Decided to play a quick couple hands of 3 card let it ride. Hit trips & two 3 card straight flushes in that time.
Happy I stopped in there.
I was driving a big uhaul truck. That's the only reason a went there to park because of the big bus parking lot.

I can't tell you the shop. It's a hookup I'm getting with someone doing sidework at their job. I ended up choosing the color "Snow Buster White" because I could not find the original styling pearl they had on my stocks without them turning really blue or pink. It says it has a slight sparkle to the color.

Nice! My fiance and I went there on Labor Day and she won $3500 on slots. She likes to play so I just follow her around and lose money. But a few months ago I hit $2400 on a slot.

Yea you right.. he was looking for a roller from that generation but obviously dint find it that’s why he decided to go that route to purchase the whole car so it worked out for him since he Parted it out. Apparently the total was 12k maybe you’ll find something that works for you if your not in a rush, just my two cents

Got the keys to my first home.
Working on moving stuff in... Finally going have have my own 2 car garage to myself. Will be moving the fastback home real soon. Have a ton of parts that are ready to be put back onto the car.
Need to knock out some inside the home projects first though. Luckly the home has a new hvac system. New paint. Roofs about 12 years old... Almost got all the big stuff moved or bought. I almost forgot how much furnature can cost... Wife and I want to try for another child so moving out of the inlaws house was a MUST. 3 years of saving money has finally paid off.

Thanks Mark and Martinna. I was lucky to have found it in such good condition, there was no way I was passing it up when I seen it in person. From when I seen it down the street parked at the bank(met up at a bank) right away I said "this car is cleaner than I thought, I'm taking this even if it runs like shit." The thumbs I get for this car is crazy, even people who aren't into cars break their necks.
