Seems like his car was destroyed more for stolen parts than racing. In the case I say woohoo police. But if they destroy the car just from having go fast parts that sucks. Also 1320 you do know that in some circles what you have said can be considered a "terrorist threat" and albeit a slight chance but you could be charged. Only saying this because there are a lot of cops on this board one of which is a friend. And most are just doing their job a judge orders the crushing.

422 P.C. Terrorist threats is weak sauce. 1st he didn't direct the threat to anyone specific. 2nd, someone has to truely be in fear of said threat. Posturing realy isn't terrorist threats. 69 P.C. seems to work better with those who threaten a specific Officer.

It was for stollen parts. Nothing else. All other mentioning of street racing is thrown in to get youngsters thinking twice on street racing. Being that youngsters these days ARE so stupid they would assume that street racing IS the reason why the car was crushed. There is no way in hell they car crush a car for go fast parts. That would mean off the assembly line cars should be crushed.

Cops saw the racing parts and inspected further. Great job by the cops and I hope they keep crushing those cars.
Just think how many people actually paid for those parts and then some knuckle head steals them and puts them on his car.
That dumbass got what he deserved. Apparenly he did not learn his lesson because he got caught stealing another car. Felony + Felony = dumbfuck that doesn't learn very easily. If you dont learn the easy way then you have to learn the hard way.

You might be able to quit paying the bill, because they can't repo it. Actually, the bank would probably require you to pay off the loan immediately when they got the salvage certificate for the car that no longer exists. So the bank gets the salvage title... Then if you refuse to pay it... The bank will probably take legal action.(somehow this just doesn't seem right) And then your credit will be fucked. Wow this is all bad. Just for having a spoiler and rims. And maybe a anti-sway bar. Maybe tinted windows?

Yeah, I caught that too. As I understand it though, the law seems to give complete discretionary power to the officers. Furthermore, the judges have only ordered cars with stolen parts to be crushed so far, but the LAPD website makes it sound like they have the authority to crush any car involved in illegal street racing. Say you buy a cold air for your 03 Cobra on CA Fords and it ends up being stolen. YOU ARE F@$KED! How would you know? Don't buy anything from anybody that "seems" shady. Hell, half the people I have bought sh!t from on here "seem" shady. What if you buy a used car legally and it ends up having a stolen motor in it. How many of us check the engine numbers when we buy a used car? I don't. We all need to write letters are something...hell if I know.
