this is in regards to the threads about the oakland cops shot - i see that we have a split between fellas on here that back the cops n their actions and why fellas feel the way they do about the police. i myself can tell you guys stories of my dealings with cops since i started to drive my car- im 36 now and STILL get shit from them.so far i havent met a cop that wasnt a dic.
here is part of the story from the police man who stop and NFL player from seeing his mother in law before she died.

“He was pointing a gun at me as soon as I got out of the car,” Tamishia Moats told The Dallas Morning News, which first reported that Powell unholstered his sidearm.
Video from a dashboard camera inside the officer’s vehicle, obtained by Dallas-Fort Worth station WFAA-TV, revealed an intense exchange in which the officer threatened to jail Moats.
He ordered Tamishia Moats to get back in the SUV, but she ignored him and rushed inside the hospital to see her mother, Jonetta Collinsworth, 45, and was by her side when she died a short time later. She had breast cancer.
“Get in there,” said Powell, yelling at 27-year-old Tamishia Moats, as she exited the car. “Let me see your hands!”
“Excuse me, my mom is dying,” she said. “Do you understand?”
My mother-in-law is dying! Right now! You’re wasting my time!” Moats yelled. “I don’t understand why you can’t understand that.”
As they argued, the officer got irritated. “Shut your mouth,” the officer said. “You can either settle down and cooperate or I can just take you to jail for running a red light.”
The officer later told Moats, "I can screw you over. I would rather not do that. You obviously will dictate everything that happens; and right now, your attitude sucks."
Powell also ignored the pleas of two nurses and a Plano police officer, all of whom tried to convince Powell to let Moats go into the hospital, WFAA said
The exchange soon ended and Powell returned to his cruiser to write a ticket. A few minutes later, another officer approached Powell to tell him a nurse said the mother-in-law was dying right then and Moats needed to get into the hospital.
The Moatses, who are black, said they can’t help but think that race might have played a part in how Powell, who is white

this is just one example of why peolpe dont like them too much and why the people march in the streets to protest.
its funny how people dont look at the Bart officer in the same way
sure he didnt have a backround like the man who shot them, but a killer is a killer

If the guy would have stopped in the first place, it might not have went down like that.
The cop thought the guy was running. At the point the guy didnt stop (no matter what the reason) it becoms felony evasion. The cop doens tknow if the guy just killed someone, just robbed someone ect. The cop has to do whats in his best interest to be safe about. The cop errered on the side of caution.
The cop even says "Attitude is everything" "If you had stopped i probably would have let you go. BUT because the guy didnt stop, like he should have, and endangered peoples lives by running red lights and not obeying traffic laws, the situation go escalated.
The family is 100% in the wrong, not the officer.

bart cop did kill an innocent man, lavelle looser what ever his worthless last name was, was a rapist,murderer,no job,drug dealer.....black pride fawk the cops the white man hates us all.........so pretty much summed up the oakland protesters are a bunch of racist drugged out losers why i say this? a)they have no regard for a human life b)there supporting the life of a druggie,rapist,killer ect....c)if he was white and the cops were black the protest would be the exact opposite.

My Aunt (white), Uncle (Black) live over off Bancroft/Maxwell area. They have been seeing some of the same people and hearing people talk about how the cops got what they deserve,
They are completly disgusted by it.
Some people these days just have a fucked up moral compass.

Yeah no-one is justifying. Some might understand a bit more than others about what it's really like to live in Oakland. You might not see it as a race issue but as N8 pointing out earlier, "There is racial divide, economic divide, civil divide, and a justice divide" . Hard to see these lines while standing on the outside. Nobody that I've seen on this board has blamed the police officers for this individuals actions

Cops have harrassed me many times before.Ive been billy clubbed for no reason before and ive been threatened by them before.Not to belittle your cause,but oh yeah,im white.I think its just that some cops are assholes,matter of fact its just that some people are assholes,theyre always gonna be there.

You wanna turn it in to a race thing.... I went golfing in last week here in Vallejo. I played with 3 black guys I didn't know... None of us knew eachother.. I had my work shirt on that had my name on it... But one of the guys decided to change my name to Paul (for Paul bunion, I assume because I had a fat ass beard and needed to shave)
that should be the end of the story but it gets better... I hit some bad shots and wasn't on my game... They started to mock me because I said I wasn't playing like myself. It gets better, we went ahead and let a group go in front of us they were also black... They said thanks for letting us play through not to me but gave the guys I was playing with daps... Looked over at me and walked off. I never have done that to anyone I try not to judge anyone and I wish people didn't ack that way
so even white guys get it to so I hate when people play the race card.

Ah I get what your saying. They have the right to not stop for the cop (break the law) when he attempted to pull them over because they arent white. I didnt see that part in the constitution or the penal code that says only white people need to obey the laws, and brown people get to ignore it.

Yes murder... shooting a person who is handcuffed is an execution. Too many times the , O, it was an accident, or I thought he had a gun. A badge shouldn't allow you to shoot and kill someone without warrant
