Probably alot. What I know is tfs's big selling point on there sbf head's are the valve position allow's them to be used with stock piston's "depending on cam". If You are considering the AFR's head's I would recommend the valve spring upgrade.

I have 2 stangs with the same short block, one with TFS heads and the other with AFR185s. They are not ported or otherwise modified. I can tell you that the AFRs are faster on my cars. I found that to be true even when I swapped longblocks between the two cars. The AFR heads performed better in each car they were in.

Trick flow now has a set of CNC'd Twisted Wedge heads

I have heard some good things about them. Dunno how they size up to the AFR's. However, if you go with a "185" head you will most likely want to change that E-cam

The base spring's wer'nt enough for Me with an F cam & charger. You might be able to get by with the base they offer "with the E " but it cant be much to upgrade them and it is a bitch to do them later unless the head's are already off the car. They might be ok NA but if You throw some boost on there I bet they will float like Mine did at 5300 RPM. Do a search on here and www.corral.net before You order Em or at least I would if it were My money!

You are comparing AFR 185's to TFS TW 170s and claiming that AFRs have the performance edge???
Way to mislead...

The trickflows 185's worked good for me. I went 11.92@115 with 185's. Trickflow stage 1 cam and a track heat intake on a 93 coupe. [ May 26, 2007, 10:15 AM: Message edited by: jmcclesk ]

It will take a very good driver and major hook for you to see low 12s with those parts. I don't think you will do it with Nittos, e303, and a cobra intake
I am predicting 107-109 mph traps assuming you have a full weight 5 liter Mustang
Prove me wrong
