marsh creek starts in clayton...but to get to clayton, we must go through Antioch or Pittsburgh.

Does that mean cars with no front sway bar and 3 inch front wheels are a hazzard for this type of cruise? anyhow will there be a pickup point near Fairfield or Vacaville.

Well, i didnt get a chance to scout the roads out, but I will try to sometime next weekend. I think worse case scenario, we can always hit up the Berryessa route if people dont mind hitting that up again.

Does everyone have the route planned out yet? I have some suggestions of some backroads we could take through Napa if anyone is interested.

thats a nice rd but to get there we have to go thru concord or walnut creek it will be to many stop lights there is a big parking lot on the corner of kiker pass and clyton rd for a meet up point is the cvs parking but it will be fun am in

So I "plan" to go on a trial run through the roads that we will hit on the "End of Summer Cruise" on oct. 3. I am still trying to decide which route to take, but either way, I plan to head out around 8:30am tomorrow morning (Saturday, Sept. 19). If you want to try one of the roads out, let me know. it'd be more fun with more people ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
Route:
1. Meet around Walnut Creek area > Take Ygnacio Valley Rd > Clayton Rd > Marsh Creek Rd > Vasco Rd. > End @ Livermore (580)
2. Meet in Fairfield area > Suisun Valley Rd. > Hwy 121 West > Silverado Trail North > Hwy 29 North > End @ Perry's Deli > Take same route back

I went on a trial run today and the route is pretty nice!
1. From Hayward area...take HWY 680 N and exit Ygnacio Valley Rd.> Turn right @ Ygnacio Valley Rd. > Turn right @ Clayton Rd.
I'm not sure what way you Sac guys are going to take, but I'm sure you guys can hop onto HWY 680 S and exit Ygnacio Valley Rd also.
2. Sac and Bay folks can all meet at the CVS Pharmacy/shopping center on the corner of Clayton Rd. and Marsh Creek Rd. It is a big shopping area with lots of parking so let'splan to meet there at 10am.
3. Route: Leave CVS Pharmacy @ 10:30am > take Marsh Creek Rd. > stop to regroup at intersection of Marsh Creek Rd and Vasco Rd > turn right onto Vasco Rd > stop to regroup at Vasco shopping center.
4. From the Vasco Shopping Center, we can do several things:
-hop onto 580, head to Dublin, and hit up Kassabian and/or Hooters
- turn back around and hit up Morgan territory (more twisties) that will drop us back off to Marsh Creek Rd where we initially started
-Turn back around and take the same roads back to where we started
- call it a day and head home...
The route thru marsh creek and vasco is fairly short. Dependig on traffic and how many people are going, it can take 30-60 mins from CVS to Vasco shopping center. This is kind of why I think we should have some additional plans so we don't end the day so quick.

That's sounds like a good plan but you don't wanna take morgan territory back. When I left I went back thru that way and it sucked. The road to it is nice but the middle section you could only go 20 and its too narrow. It would just be a big mess.
