my bad, yeah, we got seperated after the mountains. i think that's the sign that the cruise is over when you see mustangs going in three different directions.

steve raleigh and spencer christian and brian susman keep saying that its going to rain on Sunday, but it looks better for Sat. I think we should of kept the original date of Saturday after all. Oh well, at least it will be easier to do doughnuts at the slide show / burnout contest! yeah but is the event still on even if its pouring rain, I mean weather might be better for next weekend, ya know postpone it possibly??

Honestly folks, I am really looking forward to bringing both of our Mark VIII's. Or LOD chapter were all going to cruise to Dub together, but if I wash and detail 2 cars on Saturday, and it's raining Sunday morning, I am going to pass. Call me nuts, but the last thing I want to do is drive from northern Santa Rosa to Dublin, in the rain, to cruise around in a town I have only driven past, not through.
I will keep an eye on the weather. My fingers are crossed.
Lets see, all 4 drag racing events have been rained out so far this year. Now the first Nor-cal Ford get together looks like it might rain too. Do ya think Mother Nature is a Chevy fan???
Oh, and incase anyone was planning on meeting up with us, here's the update(if it doesnt rain). The first meeting place is at Home Depot in San Rafael, between 9:30 and 10:00am. Then we cross the richmond bridge, and instead of IKEA, we are meeting in the Chevy's parking lot. Water side, Powell St. exit. If its dry, thats a great photo spot too.
Then we will head on over to Dublin from there. See you(hopefully) then folks! [ February 20, 2004, 06:46 AM: Message edited by: Blackicelsc ]

Anyone that's lived here for any amount of time knows that rain can and often does require that adjustments be made to the GTG dates this time of year. Come on guys - this ain't new
Sorry for the peeps that work Sunday - not all events can accomadate everyone's schedules, especially when working weekends is involved. I'm sure the powers that be here will have some Saturday events too.

Brian - I know you bust your balls to put these events on and major props for doing so. Everyone benifits because of your generosity in donating the time and resources to makeing these GTG happen. It's sad that everyone who wants to come can't make it - but there will always be a next time. See ya next week bro

a poll works great in this type of situation. But as was said before, it cant evolve around every one right Some people have to work 6 days a week like myself. In order to arrange family time and mustang time its a rough deal for people like me. I had coverage for the original Sat so I can have it off but then that was changed and lost a personal favor for that. Then changed again? Im glad our group input was part of that decision making. The bad thing and this is what aggrevates me the most. I had explained to my guy that worked on my stang to make sure he had it running and finished tonight. He did at 730 ish. He had one of his guys stay to finish to make sure it was done for the cruise. Then I get home to read this....yeah count me in on the next one. Im glad I am still hanging with some that feel the need for speed on sunday and dont mind a little mist. I didnt know all on this board had soo much free time to move their schedules around when they wanted. Thanks for asking my opinion...but like posts before that I have read you guys make the choices and we have to deal with them.

As a bay area native, I know that anytime us car nuts plan on a get together anytime of the year between November and April, mother nature can spoil it. I am not surprised, nor will I be on the 28th when we are all saying "damn, rain again tomorrow, we should have had it on the 28th...its clear and sunny".
Murphy wrote a law many centuries ago. it went a little something like this:
"hear ye, hear ye..let it be known from this day forth that anytime ye shall plan a meeting or social gathering, let it be known that she, the almighty mother nature, may decide to bless our soils with plentiful rain for our crops, or unbearable heat for our clothes to dry. All people shall make due, or plan the meeting for a day when mother nature is alseep.
translation?: it rains in the winter guys. I have missed all 4 drag races this year due to rain. If it is dry on the 29th, I'll be there...and since I am going through drag racing withdrawls, there may be a huge amount of smoke billowing from my rear tires. Think about all the poor folks who bought season opener tickets to Pamona, and they will probably not see any drag races. Whats another week???
