Excellent day for racing! Not a lot of cars and perfect, cool weather. Run 3 13psi, iced for an hour (sat in lanes), 5mph tail wind, 4.5k Launch 60ft.- 1.938 slight spin ET- 13.509 @ 102.026!!! Holy Flyin' Bat Crap, Batman!!! Run 4 stepped on brake in first 60 feet, don't ask me why. power shift 3-4. 60ft.- 2.183 ET- 13.876 @ 100.521 Run 5 13.5psi, 4.5k launch 60ft.- 1.938 deja vu, slight bog ET 13.667 @ 100.14 Run 6- Take No Prisoners! 13psi, 4.7k Launch 60ft.- 1.914 some spin ET- 13.500! @ 100.896 YEEESSS!!! even power shifted a little early 3-4 (5.2k) I was so stoked by the 60 ft and clean shifts. Mods in sig. Still stock- fan+clutch, exhaust from cat pipe- back! DO I hear a 13.4X w/ current combo? I think I do... Woooooo Hooooo! Jim L. ps- saw lots of other excellent runs from fellow Stangers- maybe they wil post their new best ET's! [ December 15, 2001: Message edited by: FasterDamnit ]

Congradulations Jim! I never did get to see what your last run was like. I also improved on my best n/a time today. New best 13.366 @ 101.023! This was with the same mods as last week. Oh BTW, for the people who cared to accuse me of using my N20 last week when I ran a 13.575. This week I got my bottle filled and hooked the N20 back up to the motor so you could see what a nitrous pass looks like. New Nitrous best-12.3 @ 109 Thanks for the encouragement.

13.5's and 102 MPH with no new mods? Thats awesome! What RPM are you shifting at? What did your 1/8th mile MPH look like? You're tempting me to come back out of 'retirement' with every track visit Jim! 13.4's with better driving/launch (4.10's?)... 13.2's with an off road H pipe... 13.1's with ram air.... and 12.999's are just hiding in the 60 ft!

Another application of VHT wouldn't hurt , either (wink-wink, nudge-nudge). I should be around over the Xmas break, so- Come On Down! I bet I can shave a tenth w/ an electric fan. I do like the stealthiness of the stock exhaust. I will try the h-pipe if I can find it cheap. Oh, yeah- shifting right at 5500- breaks up if I go higher. Take It Easy! True, just like before, most of our races will come down to reaction time... but the tables have fliped now! F-150 spring is.... not fun! You have to become creative to get it to work! You saw my electric fan... you can't even notice it. Few people notice it until I point it out. Bob Cosby the Great use to unbolt his fan at the track and claimed a consistant 0.05 second gain. The shade-tree formally known as 93-ex-chp pulled off 12.9's with the stock stuff...no reason why you can't do it... just whore your car out a little bit Mean Green 12second stocker machine... I can see the FM.com story now! Next time I come to watch or race, I'll be sure to bring the VHT. I can't take all the credit though, it was John91coupe's generosity in the first place.
