A new edge will be faster. A 94 to 95 5.0 will be familiar to you under the hood. After 1993 these cars were made better, but heavy.

I was aiming for a 94/95 but people kept beating me to the cars(they don’t last a day online). I do however like the exhaust sound the 2V has in the low-mid 2k rpm’s.

I found this one on Facebook market, but I check every used car site pretty much from sac to la. I’ve been searching for a while for pretty much any decent 5-speed 86-04 mustang under $4k. One thing I noticed is you have to set guidelines of what you’re willing to accept and what are for sure passes so when you see an add you know right away if that’s something you’re looking for or not because you have to jump on these cars. If they’re decent and with that price range they will be gone the same day they’re posted most the time unless they don’t have titles. I say the having titles because I swear most these mustangs that are for sale never have titles it’s always “I lost it. That’s how I got it, I never planned on registering it so I didn’t care about the title” [ 2024-05-21, 05:08 PM: Message edited by: NEIGHT ]

What are the good used car sites today? No title means it could be stolen?

Anywhere they sell used cars…. That’s what I’m assuming but it’s not my job or business to find out so I just move on to the next. Apparently my car isn’t laser red it’s paint code E8 so Rio red/vermillion red is what I see online they call it

Maybe you seen my silver new edge on Facebook marketplace. 2000 Mustang GT premium 104k miles, lblack leather interior minor wear and tear no rips or seams splitting. $3500. Possibly $3-$4k in parts to sell. It’s a good part out car to build back stock and sell to 7-8k. I just don’t have the time or patience to sit on parts or remove everything and install motor, transmission and fuel tank.
Non-op (300 to register), non-running, clean CA title (never ordered).

Yeah I seen it. I stay away from autos tho because they're not really fun to drive and they're pretty hard to sell. The cars I see sit on marketplace and all that are always autos.

Been a hot minute but decided to check in tonight. Crazy seeing some familiar names here back from the 98cobra.com days.
Hope y’all are good. [ 2024-06-08, 11:52 PM: Message edited by: the50ho ]

Yeah. Are you thinking of getting back into the Mustang game? Prices keep going up by the minute.

My worst mistake ever was buying this 2V mustang. This car is the definition of a lemon. Lol
At least the car isn’t going to be a total pos when they buy it from me. So far I’ve replaced all struts/shocks, spark plugs, wires, valve cover gaskets, air filter, oil change, some smog shit, a couple cracked vacuum/smog hoses. Finally now it’s ready to pass smog and I parked it right now and the Fucken POS is straight pissing from the radiator.

Never buy cars that have been wrenched on by people with no knowledge or respect. Is the coolant brown? Replacement radiators that don't have plastic side tanks are better quality.

Yeah the coolant was brown as shit. I drained it and poured 2 gallons of distilled water to somewhat clean it out it and cleaned the reservoir quite a bit. I got lucky and found a brand new radiator in the box on offer up for $60 so I bought it added all new 50/50 and it looks ok right now but me personally I’m done driving this car she gotta go. Anyone know how to get my monitors ready for smog? I’ve been following the YouTube videos but these 3 damn monitors don’t change for shit. I have 0 codes and 0 pending but my HCAT, EVAP and AIR monitors won’t set to ready. It’s really frustrating me to the point where I might pay to pass it but that’s a few hundred bucks I could save because this car is bone stock so it should pass. Normally I wouldn’t care about just cruising the car to reset the monitors but it’s not really a relaxing ride when I’m worried about cops since I’m riding with no plates at all. Before using distilled water to flush the cooling system you should stick in a garden hose and run it at low pressure until the water flows out clear. It can take over one hour on a dirty cooling system. Wrap a rag around the garden hose until it can be squeezed inside a coolant hose and stay.

She passed smog now. Gonna go pick up my plates at the dmv on Monday morning. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a title in the mail? I never really paid attention how long it took in the past.

One to Three weeks. Call the DMV for a status check. What did you do to clear the monitors?

Just drove the damn car without following the damn steps on YouTube. I honestly pissed off a lot of drivers on the freeway driving 55 for MILES. I took it to my uncles house in Modesto and drove it back and when I parked it I decided to look at the monitors and they were all ready except evap but in California you can have any 1 not ready for my year so I took it.

Who’s running panhard bars on their foxes? I’m looking to finally put one in my hatch since I guess $350 was too much back in the days for me. Anyways, I noticed that on the MM site they suggest to run stock upper control arms? I’m sure they know what they’re talking about or I’m misunderstanding but I kinda don’t wanna invest $1,000 on lowers and panhard bar and have some gay ass stock uppers. Lol
