I think it's pointless to buy an out of dat super car or even an out of date Mercedes.

This. A Mercedes/BMW is only around $60-70k so I understand getting the newest one, an "out of date" Lambo is still $100k+ if you get a well maintained low mileage one, not really practical to get the newest one at $250k
