Eddie I thought you were in Fremont but I see your location says SoCal. I was gonna say Fremont has a few spots tap/tasting rooms. Craft beer is the shit.

There a few good ones out right now. Sierra Nevada bourbon barrel aged Narwhal, Firestone 18 anniversary, old Rasputin's bourbon barrel aged all those 3 are 13% or higher a pair well with a nice cigar.

Younger comes out in February for SF Beerweek. We usually don't advertise when we tap our keg, it last's about an hour if we're lucky. We get Elder once a month. We always announce when it goes on. Usually lasts about a day.

Younger is good. But in my option a fresh simtra is way better.

It's really hard to compare Younger to any other beer. It is only brewed once a year and after waiting in line for god knows how long, it's very unlikely that you'll be drinking another triple IPA at the same place. I find that no matter how many great TIPA's that I drink, every year Younger amazes me.
Knee Deep is certainly killing it. Them along with breweries like Altamont, Cellarmaker, Societe, Alpine, Berryessa and Kern River are definitely the emerging west coast kings of hops...

I agree that younger is good but there is also a lot of hype built around the Russian river brand which I'm not hating on I have quite a few bottles aging from them. But when it comes to 3x IPA there's a lot more out there than younger that are just as good minus the line.

We opened a batch 2 Consecration over the summer and it was amazing. Their sours are definitely the highlight of their brewery in my opinion.

Nice batch 2 that's had a lot of time to age. I agree there sours are amazing they give them a different twist by aging them in wine barrels. Sours are becoming the new IPA right now its cool to see the transition craft beer is taking and the art involved.

Once you get that taste, you'll be hooked for life. Broke too, since they are some expensive mother fuckers.

I can't remember exactly when I bought it, but I'm guessing 5, maybe 6 years ago. If you ever make it out to Roseville, stop by my place. We have a solid sour bottle selection. Usually one or two on tap. [ 2014-12-09, 08:25 AM: Message edited by: theconductor ]

That all come's in time. I love my IPA the stronger the better I love that the Stone Enjoy By 12.26.14 are out. If you try some of the higher end Bourbon Barrel aged stouts you change yor mind and toss new beers into the mix.

What Tap room do you own in Roseville? I've been to Final Gravity and Boneshakers. Yes Craft beer will leave you broke if you get carried away I know I have a cellar full of aged beer from 2010 til current.

My wife and I own it. Jeremy does a good job of supporting his local accounts and makes it in often. A little less now that he's moved to Auburn along with the brewery. It's a great industry to be a part of. Boneshaker is another great place. JJ is a stand up guy. [ 2014-12-09, 10:11 AM: Message edited by: theconductor ]

Yeah, please do. I was between mustangs when we first opened and took a step back from it. I still work for the railroad so pm if you are thinking about coming out, and if I'm around, we'll drink a beer.
Thanks for the kind words.
