$500 will get you one aluminum head. Although, I did let go of some Trickflow aluminum heads for $650 with only like 400 miles on them.

I sold my set of gt40 with 1.7 rockers for $400, and got myself some aluminums. Gt40's are cool but aluminum are easy to come by now.

Agree.. I ran these heads before and seen few people run similar set up and had good outcome, specially if ur on a budget. .. gt40/tfs stage1/explore intake on 410 gears runs hard

they went up as well, supposedly 350 was the asking for heads now i was told yesterday. 300 to 450 for used running heads is the going price, and even if u upgrade them nobody well almost lol is gona trust somebody's else work, so i get why rick wants bare unmolested heads. during the time cash for clunkers was 40 bucks a head.it seams that time has come an gone. 600 anything im looking into true aftermarket performance then.

If everything of something is "over priced" doesn't that make it now the normal price?

Correct me if wrong gentlemen, but didn't a member on our site run GT40 heads, GT40 Explorer upper and lower intake with an E cam and have outrageous numbers?
Charles
@NEIGHT I seen a complete set of Al heads with springs good for .600 lift on ebay go for $520. [ 2014-07-22, 12:09 AM: Message edited by: KARATExxCHUCK ]

Back in the day when the GT40s were all that was affordable, we used to take the GT40 heads, mill them, port them, bcam and 1.7s and a decent intake and run deep in the 12s. Basically all junk yard parts. Lol budget racing all the aluminum head cars!

My old gt40p heads went 12.20s with stock cam, I had a lot of money in them and I gave them away cheap, Keith Craft set them up, stock eliminator guys have gone 11s with stock heads and gt40 heads, just look at what notch1320 has done with his stock stuff, it's high boost that gt40 heads don't like and they will work but you won't get full potential of a motor

i got over priced at the time, i wasnt really thinking until i realized these werent drop on like the seller said. because i had worn valve seals and needed to upgrade the springs. $450 wasted then i added another $200 i shoulda just brought some aluminum heads. then when i was selling them people thought i was selling them over priced $450, that was with new valve seals new exhaust valves and new springs and milled down cleaned 0miles on them.
