congrats my dad bought the 2012 last year and he regrets not waiting on 13 these cars are badass for the price.

If your dad adds a pulley, tune, good tires, and exhaust he won't care ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) A lot of power can be picked up relatively easy on the 2012's as well.

Tell him to throw the 2013 GT500 TVS blower on his 2012, get a tune and some better tires...I've got a 2012 and have no regrets.

Yes the other cobra sold (still miss that car though as a lot of blood sweat and knuckle skin went into it). As soon as it is broken in a bit I will give you a call for a baseline. From what the other SVTers are getting they are hitting close to or slightly above the 600rwhp mark (not sure on torque, but it is probably around 600rwtq too). With a simple tune they are hitting 50hp/50tq more which is kind of scary just from a tune and no other changes ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

With a lighter body it should do pretty well, but there are simpler ways to make that kind of power, but the Shelby is kind of like a one stop shopping vehicle (you get everything)

didnt know the new ones were a 5.8, I thought it was still the 5.4 dohc..... by the way worth every penny spent in my opinion..

Yup..the 2012 and older were 5.4. The '13 models are 5.8 (think 351 if you are into nostalgia:).
