No doubt. Craftsman serves its purpose and never used Pittsburg pro ratchets.

I have a lot of snap on stuff for work, and at home I use Kobalt from lowes. Both turn bolts the same, either have yet to break. The new Kobalt stuff has a great finish, and are quality pieces. They hold the same guarentee as Snap-on, just a truck doesn't come every Friday.

mostly craftsmen.. if your going to break a craftsmen, you were going to break a mac or snap on.. [patriot] i have all 3. but why paid 10x the craftsmen price for the same wrench? only craftsmen ratchets i have ever broken was the 1/4 & the 3/8 ones.

I've busted 3-4 craftsmen ratchets myself. Everything else seems to work well fr craftsmen. I have some random snap on and Mac tools and like them a lot, there just expensive. My friend has a set of tools from harbor freight. He broke a ratchet and got a new one on the spot.

Bottom line is you have to choose your battles. Some tools will see much heavier and/or frequent use than others. These are worth paying more for, especially if you depend on them to earn a living. I recently bought a snap on fine tooth (88 I think) 3/8 flex head wratchet, and found myself wondering how I got by with just a basic craftsman before.

I have mainly craftsman pro but have some snap on and Stanley brand ones. The Stanley brand ones are actually pretty nice and walmart has a super easy return process if one breaks. I've never had one break though. If you can find some, get some old craftman rachets. I got some passed down to me and they are really nice pieces. Better than their new stuff. I always keep an eye out for the old craftsman stuff at swap meets.

My local orchard supply just gives me a new ratchet off the shelf if I bring in a broken one.. Sears has always sucked when it came to their tool warranty IMO.

Ive got only craftsman and I've never had a problem with my tools.. I've broke swivels and ratchets, but it was my fault and had them replaced brand new when they break.

I beat on my tools since I wrench for a living. When I 1st got in the biz, my Craftsmen lasted 2 weeks at best. Now my box is filled with Snap-On, Matco and Mac. You get what you pay for IMO and those 3 companies' tools last alot longer than Craftsmen.

I started with Craftsman years ago when i worked for Ford/Lincoln Mercury. I have over the years mixed in a few SK, Snap-On, & Mac as well. I recently started buying a few of the Craftsmen Pro Series wrenches. I have only had a few returns to Sears in all the years but the exchange was quick and hassle free. I just have this thing for US Made Tools and cant bring myself to buy China handtools.
