I have the pms from when he had asked if I had it installed and I said just like I did in the thread. I said it's in the car but car is still under construction. I even said it would be some time before it hit the road. Also that I was worried cause he kept asking about it. I buy complete engines and others trans and have sold many but never had anyone keep asking nor did I ask. I would only expect to hear from you if something was bad. Like in this case. He can come in anytime! If a trans is good it's good no matter how long it may sit. Sitting in a car with a motor attached not running hurts nothing. Classic responses were just what I ex

How was it working before it failed? Did shift timing feel normal? Were the shifts real soft or real harsh? I ask because TV adjustment is critical on AODs (assuming we're talking about an AOD) and will burn up the trans if not right. Although it would probably have to be completely unhooked to burn up that fast. Either way that's shitty for you and I hope he makes it right. If I was a closer I'd help get you sorted out.

+1,those cables are a bitch,not to excuse the guy or anything,but if those arent set up right youll smoke it quick,as in a couple days.Ive burned a brand new one like that.AOD's are junk though,and id never trust a used or supposedly "rebuilt" one.If i was to do another AOD it'd be in a reputable shop with a warranty and no other way.And it wouldnt be at SMI either.(had to add that)

I was told it had a shift kit. I never drove the car only the new owner did. car is up and running. tv cable is fine and adjusted. car is shifting fine with the one in it now. i dont expect anything from him. I just know next time to go with my feelings and just not buy.

A aod with a shift kit is a very bad idea i have seen more then one go bad right away after the the shift kit was installed

same shit happen to me i pick up an aod trannyoff a member on here with a shift kit dude said that it was fresh a few days later shit went out on me dont want to put him on blast but karma is a bitch
