I too would love to get an rx7 and swap a LSx in it with maybe a procharger or somethin. But I'll prolly end up buying an 03-04 zo6. As far as the notch goes do what u want I personally would do a lsx swap with fi put a t56 in it with a hydraulic clutch set up u can make around 700hp easily and alot cheaper than any mod motor. People on here get butt hurt and call people gay an shit I have no loyalty when it comes to a brand fast is fast and slow is slow

light car with a pretty damn stout motor.
my buddy in hayward has 1993 rx7 with a built LS2 h/c/i and that thing hauls ass!!! almost scary
man...i want one. too bad th e ones i see for sale locally are overpriced given whats needed to finish them up and the ls1/t56 combo. an ls2 rx7 is insane.
my buddy is always looking to sell his, its complete and hes had it for like 2 years but hes getting bored. he wants to do a kit car, most likely a cobra.....

rx7 w/ an ls6 as much as i like lsx motors, id prefer putting it in anything other than a mustang just cuz these are rival cars.

03-04 Cobra swaps have been done. I would love to see a zo6 Motor under the hood of a mustang.

Yea. I'm not a big fan on ls motors in mustangs. But I could care less. It's your own decision. Go with what you want, who cares what others think. It'll problably be a lot cheaper than building a 347 or 351 since there are so many ls motors around. But to answer your question it really depends on your future plans. If you plan to go boost, a 03/04 cobra block comes forged. If you want to make a N/A monster the the ls1 would be a better choice.

Alex, that red LS1 RX7 is a cool project no doubt. However, it looks like it will need little nick-nacks addressed here and there, paint, suspension work, and wheels at a minimum. I think when it's all said and done and you have it where you would want it, you would also easily be $8-10K deep on top of the purchase price.
That car also screams hack job to me. You'd be discovering surprises for months to come imho.

Just out of curiosity are there any good reputable shops in the bay area that can do a termi swap in a fox? I'm curious what would kinda be the price range for that?
