What about specific years? Are there significant changes throughout the years, ie: motor, frame, accessories, etc?

Depending on the year make and model you are looking for. You can pick a clean bagger up for around 15k harleys hold their value WAAAAAY better than a crotch rocket. But everyone has their own tastes. harleys are definately ALOT more comfortable to ride

Now Im not sure but from like 98/99 thru 05/06 came with 88cid and 5spd...2005/2006 come with 96cid and 6spd... Frame stayed the same til 2009..

you could pick up a used bagger like that 2001 ultra for 10 to 14k(in the before pic's)
