I don't think it's a hate thread. Just Arch being the only person he knows how to be.
Otherwise no hard feelings between the other people posting imo.

your right.. I apoligize I'm so stupid not to realize it. I now know that because they have te proper saftey crew at sac. there's no way my clutch could explode and take my foot off,if I hit a wall at 90 there is no way I will be ejected from my car because they have a saftey crew I run legal cars, sfi bell housings, 3 inch wheel studs, harnesses, and I caged my last ride, that's what makes me feel safe, not someone sitting on the back of a truck waiting to rush out and tow me back to the pits.

One big difference in racing at the track and on the street is that there is an ambulance sitting track side to assist You if something happen's. On the street You never know when someone is going to pull out in front of You or cut You off "which does'nt happen at the track" & there is alot less people driving while under the influence at the track. Also there is a measure of safety with the car's being teched in at the track. We all know that there are risk's involved in all types of racing but there is a BIG difference in the safety of racing at the strip as compared to the street [ December 10, 2007, 09:26 PM: Message edited by: SmokinLX ]

What is the matter with you idiots that can't understand that street racing is what is bringing the PD down on ALL OF US? I don't give a flying fuck where or when you "usually" do it, eventually there will be a challenge on a crowded street, and your stupid ass won't be able to say no. So, you get the RIP Mark Mann type of post - everybody's friend, great guy, lost his life because his buddy didn't say no.
Thirteen Twenty, what will it take for you to pull your head out? Your mom/dad/brother/sister/child dying? Think about what you would feel like if someone close died because a guy didn't want to make a trip to the track. Hell, play your cards right, and you could be the lucky guy to kill them!
You "feel no safer on the street than you do at the track"... as a moron, maybe you do, but I don't feel safe with you on the streets, and I feel completely safe at Sac Raceway, on or off the track.
Thanks to morons like you, I can't drive my car anymore.

fuck the city and/or CA if they made a closer track instead of everyone goin to sac, then street racing would greatly be reduced. plus IMO everyone here is a hypocrite. people are gonna street race here and there and everyone has done it or still is doing it. shit happens, u guys cant blame everything on street racing. someone could break into ur house and u get blasted and die, or ur driving to work and u blow a tire, flip and die, i can think of many more things.
FUCKIN SHIT!

Really, I can't blame cars getting impounded and cops harassing me in my Mustang on street racing? You are an idiot. With that type of mentality, you are no better than the ricers and their attitudes. CA is not the problem, you are.
And comparing someone breaking into your house and killing you to street racing? Are you that much of an idiot to believe that makes any sense? YOU control wether or not YOU street race. You do not control your house getting broken into. Apples and oranges kid. Grow up or lose your ride.

I love it when a newbie street ricer goes to the track the first time and does a U turn after the finish line or when they go past the staging lights and back up but forget to take it out of reverse when the lights drop...Classic!
P.S It must be fun if you'd crash in the desert @ 2am with nobody around Pro street racer more like pro wreckless driver.

My .02 cents.
I'm doing myself and the public a favor and keeping my car off of the streets for a couple of reasons. One of them cops and the other general safety and the fact that Id like to keep my car in my possession.
I dont care if I was 19 or 30 (been both) when it comes to a challenge at the stop light or on the freeway a little demon goes off in my head and has no regard for anyone. My leg starts to shake (just like at the track) and out comes this beast, swerving in and out of traffic and even hitting the emergency lane if I have to. Cop gets behind me and I lose them. Never did get caught. But I have started to realize the error in my ways......
The last thing I want to do is take a guys wife and kids out, as I have a wife and a kid and I can stand outside the box, now.
BUT I realize that I have this "problem" so to prevent myself from giving in, I drive a slow ass acura TL-S and a slow ass suburban, keeping my track car at the track where it was intended to be. It sucks and is kinda costly keeping up with SFI and NHRA rules but it is part of the sport.
My car is registered, currently, but only so that I can have the clean title, in my name. Once the tags come up and smog is due, again. I will non-op it.
I know it will be funny when I pull up at the track with an 11 second car on the trailer but hey...it keeps me and the public safe.
Seems funny when I used to drive an 11 second car to the track......

It's this attitude that screws it up for everyone else. You have the idea that you are better than everyone else so you can do whatever you like and if makes life worse for others, you don't care because you are selfish and only think of yourself. A lot of people disagreed with you and instead of giving it any thought you basically told them to f off. It's the "Me Me me" attitude that makes society what it has become today. So you say that if your selfish recklessness on the streets that could endanger others makes others worried, they should stay at home? I must say you have a really good attitude towards others.

I don't agree with you. Even if there is a track here people will still race. They will find another reason not to go like " I don't wanna pay the 25 bucks" or " I don't want to have to pass the safety inspection" sacto has a track yet they still street race out there.
