college degrees are useless unless you get at least a masters or an engineering degree. there is a shortage of chemical/process/industrial engineers.

if u want some stability and good pay why not be a nurse. when a friend of mine graduated from nursing school right off the bat she was getting paid $43/hr and in her 1st year she easily racked 100k with the overtime. its good money if you can tolerate that type of work..i sure cant.

The swing right now is definitely towards health care.
But fair warning don't even attempt to start a program if you are not 100% sure you wana do it cuz it's a lot of work.....

Yeah i wouldn't mind staying in school but im basically going through the motions right now. I have no more drive for it. I have no intentions of trying to build a career at costco though. im only 19 so its just a job for now until i can start my career. im looking at getting on with the DMV, or seeing what some of the more experienced guys on here are doing and maybe give me some ideas. They say out of CSUS with a business degree you average about 50k a year starting. My buddy just got out of CSUS and does claims with progressive and makes 43k / yr + a year end bonus. Not too shabby...

One of my friends dad is also an x ray tech over at sutter i believe. he said he is making over 100K a year. he had suggested to me that if i wanted to do it he could introduce me to the program. HOw was ur experience with it? how do you like it now?
Could some of you fellas that posted up maybe give me a lil more info on the steps you took to get the jobs you have and how you like them? or PM me if you like. Im really trying to gather information on some of the steps i can take for a future career. [ October 16, 2006, 04:11 PM: Message edited by: 50 Deep ]
