Topic: i need a job badly, ASAP

as the title says, im outta of job right now, it has been about 3 weeks, im running outta of money, if any of you guys know anything about a job or anything that would help me get some money i would really apreciatte it, im pretty good with cars, if you need some brake job, suspensions, anything at all .. anything let me know, i have done pretty much everything. thank you

I'm in the same position as you, and i've been going out as much as I possibly can looking everywhere for work, doesn't seem like anyone is hiring.
You might want to try job agencies, they might be able to give you some temp work while you look for a job. Some good ones are kelly, nelson, manpower, appleone, officeteam are just a few.. just an idea though. The work might not be that great, but atleast you'll get a paycheck..

That's why we have that system though, you're not taking advantage of it, you're using it for its intended purpose. It's better than completely running out of money.

If you paid taxes and worked for an employer as an employee then you have already paid into the edd so you're basically just collecting the money that you paid into. Or you can refuse to collect it and there will be thousands of others that will collect your benefits for you.

I'm just telling you this because I had lost my job and rent was calling my name. If I didn't have edd then I would not be able to pay rent. At the time (a long time ago) edd paid me $260 a week for unemployment and it allowed me to stay on my feet until I found a job that sustained my living. Pride only goes so far when you're looking at being homeless.

im not saying that unemployment hasnt crossed my mind i has, it does all the time, but as i said, it would be my last option, there might ppl that needs it more tahn me right now, as i said you get what you give... if you dont deserve it and you claim it, everything goes around...

well i i dunno if its good or bad but i just moved to a bigger/more expensive apt but they gave me 1 month free, and i have ran outta money already but i saved my march rents money, so im good with rent untill the end of march, and my gf is really supporting me all the way...

If you are laid off you are eligible. If you quit or were fired they will deny you right away but you can request a hearing and if the panel approves it you will obtain benefits.

it was more of a fight/discussion/abusse of them, you knwo i worked 11+ hours a day, i would bust my ass off to only get 2 10 min brake and 30 min lunch and if you'd go a min more on your brake of lunch they'd start riding your ass... so they let me go at the same time i quit

Its good to hear that you aren't one to leach off our tax system. I was just throwing it out there as an option. Believe me I know! I never wanted to use it but when looking at not being able to pay rent I had to use it. Well hope things work out for you. Like someone else said, you may want to try a temp agency too.

Home Depot is hiring. Decent start up pay. Just pretend you have lots of experience and that you are a specialist in a field such as Electrical, Hardware, Lumber. When they interview you for it, the manager wont know the difference. Unless he was a real specialist.lol.

well actually im majoring in electrical, and i hace worked as a maintance of a hotel for almost 2 years, do you knwo if it is the home depot around sac or all home depots, ill def. go there tomorrow, thats one of the few places i havent been to..
