We are gathering another 8-10 cars for a tuning session with Bob Kurgan coming up here in November...
The date is not set in stone but should be at the beginning of the month...
We had a big success last time even though they were long days..
We also learned the rights and wrongs of how it should go down..
If you are interested in a tune or re-tune, please hit me with a PM or here in this thread...
All are welcome with a Ford based computer or stand alone vehicle...

LMAO had some issues last time? I won't be able to make it, I've decided to stay in Tejas a little while longer, I'd love to get a Kurgan tune though.

post a pic of your car....lol
but in all seriousness...a car that runs, drives, has no mechanical or electrical issues...correct timing, spark plugs, fuel...basically a car that can be driven anywhere but just needs a tune.... [ August 31, 2012, 12:39 AM: Message edited by: CornOil_&_Boost ]

Can I take my car to get a tune? All I need is a tune.. and maybe an engine.....

every single car with the exception of one or two had issues...made for super long days,....
half the cars weren't running correctly or had some type of mechanical or electrical BUCKET type issue...
others had some smaller stuff that was easily fixable but not something we are willing to do again...a LOT of free labor was done that day which was unnecessary

A stock bottom end with 100,000 + miles and a bunch of used mismatched parts would probably count. Or if he tune cost more then the short block is worth..... Then that could be considered a bucket too.
These guys(tuners) don't wanna spend time running down issues with an old beat up motor. Time is money.

Yup..this time around, NO ONE will be picking up a wrench or fixing your car to get it right...I think I changed 3 sets of spark plugs..a set of injectors or someone..helped chase down electrical demons...fuel demons...methanol demons....all stupid and crazy stuff that should have been done before the tune day...day 1 was a 16 hour day for 7 cars and Day 2 was 12 for 7 cars....cause of "bucket issues"
If needed StreakMatt has a new shop that would be willing to look over the car that same week and you can pay him and his crew to chase down any gremlins your car is having...
let me reinstate...a car that NEEDS a tune should already be running and able to drive anywhere...unless it needs a base tune (like stand alone or some SCT Flash cars) which should be taken care of before dyno day...

depending on what you have done...he could get you a base/mail order tune for your car and then you can have the final tune when he gets here....others have and are doing this in order to wait for Kurgan....
However, in saying this...if you REALLY want a tune now...for any 98 and up vehicle, I would not hesitate to go to AED for a great tune

Last I heard AED doesn't tune cars with meth injection..

He is out of the mail order tuning business...only reason I mentioned it is for people who are needing a base tune for either dyno day...he could email or remote tune it to get it somewhat in running order. But he no longer does mail order tunes like he used to...
