I *should* be there with my 5th (or is it 6th?) heads/cam/intake combo.
Gates are actually open pretty dern early. I doubt if you leave from S.F. you'll get there before they open. Don't kill yourself getting there, IIRC, it's not till 10:30 am or later they actually let you run, probably 11:00 am realistically.

So what time do you think i should arrive to get a good spot in line? Reason im so adimant about getting an early start is cause i cant stay till 3, so i wanna start runnin a.s.a.p. Also, can i change to my slicks while im in the lanes? or should i get tech'ed then go change them then come back?

get there @ 9:30 if you're an anal probe. Gate should be open. Get in line and swap your tires there, tech won't start till 10:15 or later, lol inconsistant.

Get there at 9 and go straight back to the pits(back parking lot) You will have plenty of time to change your tires and whatever else u want to do. Then go up to tech and get in your lane. You should be the first one.
Shade-Tree, If Jim goes you two have to line up. That would be a good race.

Hehe nice. I guess ill get there round 9:30'ish, go to the back and switch them, then get tech'ed etc. Ive raced at the track once before EARLY last year, and that was in my old v6, so this is gonna be fairly new. From what ive observed though from the times ive been there since to watch, the track doesnt hook well in the beginning of the day, or am i wrong?

I suck at cars. Jim would smoke my shit. I'm going to run over the RX-7 guy on the freeway a few times so my bottle will be real low though, lol.
I agree with Mark, better to tire swap in the back, but I've been there @ 9:30 by myself and swapped tires off to the side by my lonesome. [ January 14, 2003, 04:13 PM: Message edited by: shade-tree ]

If I go it will only be to watch. Just spent 45bucks on getting my nitto's taken off and my goodyears put back on. Plus I have to get my slicks balanced. They mounted them and didnt balance them. Now they want another 20 bucks a tire to balance. I also have to go get new plugs.

I have wheels. Draglights just got my slicks mounted right before the last TNT, thats how I found out that they aren't balanced. As far as the Nitto's go they were bald and had to be replaced. I drove home from SJ last week in the rain, 50mph the whole way anything faster and the car would start sliding.
