Shox IMHO are too heavy.
I'd stick with Nike lunar lites or lunar eclispe.
Nike Frees are good from what I hear but im a lunar fan.
And check the nike outlet in San Leandro.

Rebook Zig techs. Incredibly comfortable while running on a treadmill. And they also breath and don't make your feet all sweaty. Also the Nike Air Max 2009's

Nike Freeruns for sure IMO and Under Armor is way to expensive! Go to TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshalls and get some Nike Pro gear, its basically the same crap for 80% cheaper lol.

For running, you can't go wrong with asics or new balance, or even saucony

I prefer the Nike free run for inside the gym/ treadmill running and squats, calf raises. As far as protein goes there's too many out there, my personal favorite is optimum nutrition gold standard. You can save by getting the Costco bag of muscle milk 6 lbs for 40. Just make sure that you get at least 70% protein per serving. Divide the protein amount by the serving amount in grams. Ex: 24 grams protein/overall serving 32 gr.=.75 would be considered a good protein.

This is what I use as well. Tastes good with water or milk and does not have a bunch of additives.
BTW I get all my supps from Bodybuilding.com. Excellent pricing and you get free stuff. [ March 12, 2012, 01:23 PM: Message edited by: N8 ]

Plus 1 can't go wrong with gold standard. Don't buy under armor just to workout I lift with just a tang top or the golds gym tanks an a pair of shorts or track pants it's way less expensive.

I agree with blackfifty. To be honest people tend to laugh at cats, with all the under armor, sweat bands and weight lifting belts on. I work out in hoop attire basically, cut off sleeves t-shirts or a wife beater and hoop shorts.

Yup, A gray or Black wife beater and shorts. It's the gym, not a fashion show. No need to spend the money on fancy gear. Good shoes are worth investing on, everything else is a waste in my opinion.
