After a couple years of owning my 1998 Cobra Faleen and modding it, I think I'm almost done...at least with the suspension that is! Thanks to all the people mentioned in my other thread ( http://www.californiafords.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=052467 ), here is the final result. This thing really feels like a damn go-kart now and I finally know what people mean by "it feels like it's on rails!" Enjoy
Here's what the build consisted of:
MM K-member w/ brace MM Forward offset control arms MM CC Plates MM Solid steering shaft MM Aluminum solid steering rack bushings MM Bolt-thru bumpsteer kit MM 'Short' swaybar end links MM Urethane swaybar bushings MM Swaybar relocation kit MM Oil filter relocation kit Momo "Monte Carlo" steering wheel Canton RR oil pan and windage tray MM 4-pt roll bar with diagonal crossbar and removeable harness bar Lower torque box reenforcement kit Ultrashield Rally Sport seat w/ Racecraft mounting hardware Ioport seat back brace Wolfe Racing sub-belt attachment bar MM roll bar padding 2 sets of 5-pt harnesses (One set is a Sparco camlock and the other an AutoPower Pro Latch) Hawk Blue brake pads Stock Cobra shock tower brace (custom install)

Still got the white saleens sitting in the garage. The white was getting fucked up with all the brake dust from the track. They need a fresh coat of powder.
And yes...I 'hope' its road race/trackday ready! I'll find out tomorrow ![[Whoo Whooooo!]](graemlins/woowoo.gif) [ February 11, 2012, 12:15 AM: Message edited by: SydeWaySix ]

Hate it ALL YOU WANT. But that's the beauty of MM's forward offset control arms + an MM k-member Suspension engineering and geometry at it's best!
More weight balance from front to rear = better handling.

I didn't know it served a purpose I just thought it just happened with certain K members N control arms. Sorry for giving that butt a lil tickle ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

Thanks fellas! This thing is a damn money pit but I hope it's all worth it after I test it out tomorrow. MM parts are definitely quality and worth the cost.
Yes, the car is basically just a weekend warrior. Pretty much never gets driven aside from trackdays.
As for the roll bar, it's an MM setup installed and slightly customized by F.O.D. ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

Damn. It looks like you got the exact same set-up as me. Forward offset and all. It will handle great. Ditch the front dust shields. They can cause future problems. I speak from experience. Add front cooling ducts for the rotors. Use 3" bildge pump fans. This will help cool rotors while in use, and when you pull back in from track. Also flip the front rotors. The internal veins are facing the wrong direction. The vein should be in a dig pattern. Forcing air into the rotor.
