so i have a question the car will be getting a gt40 explorer setup with a 65 mm tb should i get a egr spacer or delete the egr any pros and cons, if so im going to need to by one any info on which one is good

If emissions is a concern for you then I would run an EGR.

not really since it just passed smog but would it effect me at all or no

With an inoperative or missing EGR you will not pass emissions, so I am assuming that you have to pass every other year. It's not like if you delete it you're going to pick up a massive amount of power. [ October 30, 2011, 02:00 PM: Message edited by: Greasy ]

you will not gain any hp from deleting the egr. you will lose some mpg. save your self the headache in a few years and put it on.

One of the guys on here just got reffed for no EGR.... not worth it imo

I have done extensive dyno and track testing with regards to the following:
Deleting cats x vs h pipe Long tube vs. Short runner headers Deleting EGR Deleting Smog pump Underdrive pulleys Mass Air meters (all brands).
I can tell you the worst idea is to delete the egr without a tune to compensate. Removing it kills part throttle performance and in many cases creates a hot start issue. No WOT performance gain at all. [ November 02, 2011, 04:11 PM: Message edited by: copcar ]
