undisclosed prize
'94 cobra motor, "typhoon intake" (edelbrock performer RPM knockoff), 65mm TB, 75mm PRO-M MAF @30# and 30# injectors, A9L computer, stock untouched '94 cobra longblock (GT-40 iron heads, 1.7 rockers, and that cobra cam). 1 5/8" longtube headers, off-road H, and 2 chamber flowmeisters. Drivetrain is a tremec 3550, not sure of it's frictional losses.
by the way, if you're near Fremont, and want to pay roughly 60% of what Apex charges for air/fuel dyno time, check them out

I've noticed that too. Every car I've heard of dyno's high there. Then go to the track and get brought down to reality.

Why not take your car to apex or mustang ranch to find out if its accurate or not?

doing it next week. actually it's $55, and I'm pretty sure the last time I asked Apex they were well into three digits for air/fuel monitoring.
I'm going to add in some underdrives, a short belt, and given time, an electric H20 pump as well--given time. (I was at 230 rwhp with stock heads, cam, and an exploder intake last yr.)

I *think* that Apex charges $75 for three pulls with A/F monitoring.

I just got smogged yesterday after 4 failures. I figured since(mostly visual)smog would be such a bitch, after I bought the '94 cobra motor/tranny a couple months ago, that it would be best to leave the motor alone and try to smog that way. The TFS heads and Anderson cam are on my workbench. I'm cleaning the TFS heads right now (old motor blew shit all over the valves, lol!) I should be reinstalling this month. I am also considering the worlds lightest cartridge roll on the runners. This GT-40 setup is a lot of fun to me because it is more or less what I was trying to accomplish last year with GT-40P heads but I never could get the valvetrain set up right. With that guess, its obvious you're not a 5.O guy
j/k
I'd also like to add that my guess was REAL rwhp, not what ever extra correction factor that rice-boy dyno adds to help boost rice-boy's egos

1st pull : 243 HP, 306 tq 2nd pull + 2 PSI fuel, + 2 deg timing to 14): 257 HP, 309 tq 3rd pull : 255 HP, 307 tq (same, heat soaked) (SAE corrected)
no underdrive pullies, no short belt, no ice, belt was spinning everything from the disconnected smog and A/C to the PS and H20 pump and 3G alternator.
was a little rich up top, from 4000-5500 12.5:1 to just under 12.0:1
for what it's worth. looks like st5150 more or less nailed it, lol.
