I used to run them way back in the day, before there were 30+ dr's on the market. Used to be called American racers. They were the sleeper tires back in the 90"s. You didn't have choices, it was either a full slick or cheater slick. You could show up on McCreary's and all most know one had a clue. Today we are spoiled on the choices of tire brand and sizes.
