Going to Sac to buy a used AOD from a guy. Looks like it is well built. He provided me the invoice for the build which included a $273 rebuild kit, $324 friction steel kit, $90 sun gear, $13 OD band, $44 low/rev band, $189 rev drum, $85 direct drum, $20 sprag, $22 servo piston& cover, Acc piston, $67 boost valve kit. All parts were new and the build was done on 3/30/15. Also included is a transgo 1 piece harden shaft running a PA 2500-2800 stall C6 converter and a transgo reprogramming kit. I guess my question is do you guys have any tips on what to look for when I go up and look at it? I called the shop who did the build and they said they would honor the 3 year warranty but I would have to take it to them in Folsom.

Depends on the price etc but if u have the shop Backing it then why ask?
There is nothing that can really be checked aside from out put input shaft play and the smell of the oil of it's been ran.

Coyote and built. Ya I've been looking like crazy and have not found a swap or they want way to much for just the tranny. It's a good price with paperwork. I can't believe how many people posts pictures of their used crap sitting in the dirt with weeds growing over it and say it's a well taken care of part
