Author Topic: Thoughts on a used AOD Aztec 5.0 ¯ Member # 13859 posted                              Going to Sac to buy a used AOD from a guy. Looks like it is well built. He provided me the invoice for the build which included a $273 rebuild kit, $324 friction steel kit, $90 sun gear, $13 OD band, $44 low/rev band, $189 rev drum, $85 direct drum, $20 sprag, $22 servo piston& cover, Acc piston, $67 boost valve kit. All parts were new and the build was done on 3/30/15. Also included is a transgo 1 piece harden shaft running a PA 2500-2800 stall C6 converter and a transgo reprogramming kit. I guess my question is do you guys have any tips on what to look for when I go up and look at it? I called the shop who did the build and they said they would honor the 3 year warranty but I would have to take it to them in Folsom. Ya I've been looking like crazy and have not found a swap or they want way to much for just the tranny. It's a good price with paperwork.
