Seems like a long shot, but has anybody seen this? I have been seeing a lot of talk from the NRA regarding this, but this is the first I've seen regarding the outcome. Anyone heard of this source or how legitimate they are? This is getting me all fired up.

As far as I understand it, you still need to apply for a ccw and go through the motions, the difference being that now they can no longer ask you to give good cause and possibly deny you, if you apply for it, you get it.

The title of that article is very misleading.
1. It has never been illegal so long as you have a permit. Getting the permit has always been the problem. You still need a permit to legally carry a handgun concealed.
2. Many counties already issue permits quite easily. Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa and San Joaquin counties aren't one of them. You will not get a permit in these counties unless you know someone or you routinely carry large sums of cash as part of your job function.
3. It will be at least 12-18 months before all of the legal issues are ironed out before those counties are forced to issue permits.

The new laws says, you don't need to show cause, but I'm sure they will still reject people's application for no reason! That's why I love NV, it was so easy, just pass everything and they hand it to you because its your right
When I transfer my stuff to California, I will lawyer up, I think that is the only way to get one in Sacramento county. I guess I'll find out this year!

Sac county is good to go. The biggest problem there is getting an appointment for your interview. At one point they were 9-12 months backlogged. They might be better now.
