Topic: P0153 Oxy Sensor Circuit Slow Response ERROR!

First of all, Thanks to JEFF S. (Santa Clara, CA) for scanning my Service Engine Soon Error. Well, we found out that the error is this:
P0153 Oxy Sensor Circuit Slow Response
(Bank 2, Sensor 1)
Well, i called the dealership and they said that i can't just change the 02 Sensor, it's possible that more problems have occured... wiring, sensor, etc...
so now i have to change my Bassani Catted X pipe, back to stock... and then send it back to the dealership...
have any of you guys had this error?
any input? thanks!

why dont you just change the o2 sensor yourself?
do you have a warrenty?

the dealership said that the problem isn't just the sensor.. i dunno!?!

you could swap the sensors and see if the problem swaps to the opposite side of the car... that would tell you if its the 02 sensor, or the wiring...

When you call the dealer you aren't talking to a technician, youre talking to a service writer. Most service writers know very very little. If you only had a slow response DTC you obviously dont have any problem with your wiring or else youd have circuit open/malfunction DTC's.

Check the connector first. If it's clipped together correctly, change the sensor.
Of course they say it could be something else. You've heard of the infamous "diagnostic" fee, right? ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

This problem is normally caused after you install LTs because LTs move the o2's farther down the line where its not as hot. The problem is caused because one of your front o2 sensors is not reaching a certain tempature within a given time period. Theres a few things you could do. Check to make sure you didn't fry one of the wires on the o2 when you put your x pipe on. Make sure you have nice tight seals with your xpipe. Then I would disconnect the computer for 10mins or so and reconnect it and see if the light comes back. If you have a chip you can just have that turned off. Last resort is to swap the two front o2's around and see if the code moves with the o2. My guess would be you dont have a good seal at the manifold or you fried a wire.
