I heard that it is optional for them to smog your car on site. If you refuse to they will just send you to the ref right? And that gives you plenty of time to swap your parts

shiesty, is providing FALSE information to masses on the internet. Roadside emission testing sites are for DATA COLLECTION purposes only. CHP is a contracted entity for traffic safety purposes (the same as lane closures for Caltrans), NOT enforcement action related to CVC 27156.
