Can I stuff an e303 cam in my stock 302 with out modifications? If not what modifications do I need to perform. Also it's an automatic. Thanks CAFords ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

my 89 that got stolen was setup like this.
E303 cam installed dot to dot without no advance. stock hyper piston motor with e7 heads that had upgraded springs to support the cam. I also threw in new roller lifters from ford and hardened push rods and some roller rockers.
The e cam is nice and sounds good too.

Yeah I was thinking of upgrading my springs and rockers along with new lifters and pushrods

I have a e-cam. With stock ported heads. Alex spring parts valve springs. And stock rockers and comp push rods...
Runs great, good idle, everyday driver.

That cam won't perform all that great without bigger breathing heads and intake.

No new heads = no power gain
Save up another $1k and get aluminum heads or else you'll be installing the cam basically just for a lope.

The drop in spring kit was like $100 or less for the E7 heads. I put them in myself with a shitty valve spring c clamp type tool you can rent from autozone.
The springs he sells seem to be name brand just ordered in bulk and re-packed. Get some hardened push rods too while you are at it.
